Introduction

Abstract:

In current competitive scenario every business/public establishment needs quality and systematic process to increase their working efficiency as well as improve their productivity. It is keeping in mind this business philosophy that we propose Crime Report Management System. Our system will deal with all the aspects of Managing a Crime Report against any FIR lodged by citizen starting from Citizen’s FIR entry, processing, case resolution, tracking of cases as well as report generation.

PROPOSED SYSTEM: -

(1) This is an application intended to provide automated solution to FIR lodged.

(2) The FIR/complaint can be booked by the department round the clock.

 

ABOUT CRIME REPORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Crime report management system is used to lodge FIR, making investigation report, making crime and criminal record. The Crime Report Management System is firstly login by the user to lodge the FIR which is given by the civilian. This FIR is then sending to the higher officer who gives these cases to Inspector who investigated. Inspector use criminal record using CRMS if needed during the investigation. The senior officers have the authority to see the status of the cases which were given to his/her department officers.

Objective of the project

The objectives of developing the CRMS are as given below: -

(1) To store data of all the Citizen’s who lodge their FIR/complaint against any crime.

(2) To solve the User’s lodged complaint in time efficient manner. (3) To facilitate easy and efficient retrieval of data as and when required for study by the senior officials.

(4) To generate and print out the various reports. The Crime Investigation progress reports are generated for the concerned senior officers of particular police department to monitor the progress of case attendance.

(5) It will help in taking the lodged cases and after studying the various case registered with each FIR, the departments can take action against the complaint in their respective area.

(6) Data security is maintained to relatively high level by implementing it at Database level, so as to ensure that only authorized users have access to confidential citizens’ information and case reports.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT _________________________________________________________ This project is developed by keeping the

notion to reduce the computational work while lodging the fir complains. Emphasis is paid on the dynamic nature of the system.

This software is sole responsible for providing a dynamic structure to the correct FIR lodging and case maintains scenario.

Number of modules and its description There are two main modules in our project

a). FIR Lodge Module: - This module cover the member login to FIR lodge, investigation reports etc. This module is divide into two parts which are:-

(1)Member Login : - This module is for login by the various Members. The User can be senior officer, department officer and department Member. This module is integrated with Restriction of unauthorized access module. Each user can only access those data, which are required for his/her work.

(2)FIR Entry, Status checking & FIR ID. Generations : - This part of module is for the FIR entry. The system automatically generates the FIR ID No. through this module and if compliant wants it checks their case status. 

b) Administration Module:- The administration module cover the record of criminal and crime to administrator login. Administration module has 2 parts:-

1)Criminal and Crime Record:- This part of module is for making crime and criminal record. This record can be seen by any senior officer of the department.

2)Department : - This module is for the senior officer or for department administrator. The senior officer assigns the cases to the department officers, he has the authorization to reset the login password or change password of authenticated members. Here the senior officer assigns cases to different members as per workload. The Members study the case and starts investigation and time to time maintain there reports.
