Grab your favorite drink, and come play, make art, and socialize during this special online event happening Thursday, May 14, 5:45-7:00 pm on Zoom. Register online to receive an email with the Zoom link. MAKE DIY POSTCARD ART Everyone could use a little love and creativity sent their way right now, so we will be making DIY postcard art from recycled materials. Create something unique to mail to a loved one letting them know you’re thinking of them, or exchanges mailing addresses with another participant to send or receive art! MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR EXPERIENCE • Come to the event with all your supplies close by. • Have an assortment of ephemera torn and ready to use. Find pieces, images, phrases that speak to you. Save the whole page or cut out around shapes, words or graphics. • Challenge yourself to stick to a color theme or similar subject matter. • Make sure you have a flat surface to work on and a trash can close by, there will be lots of scraps to recycle. BARGrab your favorite alcoholic or nonalcoholic drink or get some inspiration below!
Stay at Home Sangria Supplies• Punch bowl or pitcher• 1 750 ml bottle of dry red or white wine• 1/4 C Brandy (sub vodka or rum)• Juice from 1 orange, or about 1/2 C OJ or other juice* 1 orange, lemon, & green apple; chopped w/ skin/rind on• 1-3 T simple syrup to taste (sub honey or maple syrup)• Sparkling water for serving
*Substitute whatever fruit you have on hand, even frozen.*Make simple syrup by heating equal parts white or brown sugar with water in a sauce pan until dissolved.
DirectionsMix wine, liquor, orange juice, chopped fruit in a pitcher and stir.Add 1 tablespoon of sweetener at a time to your preference. Serve in a glass over ice & top with a splash of sparkling water.
