    Manager-Employee Appraisal

    This document explains about How to create a manager employee appraisal

    and approving chain process.

    To create an Appraisal to an employee follow the steps described below:

    Step 1: - To create an appraisal we need to login in to application using employee

    manager user name and password. First we need to login in to application toknow the manager of that employee.

    Responsibility : - NUAN US HR Manager, SPWX INTL BG

    Navigation:- People Enter and Maintain

    ( Select an active employee from per_all_people_f table. For example,

    Employee Name : - Ellis, Steven )

    Click on Supervisor Tab.

    Manager Name :- Gregory, John

    Step 2 :- We should login into the application using Manager User name and

    Password.

    To know the manager User Name execute the following query.

    Select user_name

    from fnd_user

    where employee_id = (select person_id

    from per_all_people_f

    where full_name = 'Gregory, John')User Name :- JOHNG

    We need to reset the Password for this user name as we don't know the current

    password.

    Navigation :- System Administrator Security User Define

    Press F11, enter User Name as 'JOHNG' and press Ctrl+F11.

    Enter Password for the User Name 'JOHNG' (johngtest) and save it.

    Re-enter your password to verify and save.

    Login in to the application using Manager User Name 'JOHNG' and Password

    'johngtest'.

    Enter following details and Click on Apply :

    Current Password : johngtest

    New Password : johngtest1Re-enter New Password : johngtest1

    Step 3 :- we should change the eligibility date of the employee.

    Navigation :- NUAN US HR Manager, SPWX INTL BG People Enter and

    MaintainEnter the Name of The employee and click Find. Click on Assignment and select

    Supervisor tab.

    Click the DFF

    Change performance Eligibility Date to next date of next appraisal period that

    you want to create. If you want to create an appraisal for the period '01-OCT-

    2008' to '30-SEP-2009' then Performance Eligibility Date should be '01-OCT-2009'.

    Click OK and Save.

    Step 4: - Run Concurrent Program 'Nuance Create Employee Appraisal -Duplicates Allowed'.

    Navigation :- Processes and Reports Submit Processes and Reports Nuance

    Create Employee Appraisal - Duplicates Allowed

    Click OK and Submit the request. This Program will create an appraisal for the

    employee 'Ellis, Steven'.

    Step 5 :- Login into application using Employee 'Ellis, Steven' User name and

    Password.

    To get the User Name of the employee execute following query.

    Select user_name

    from fnd_user

    where employee_id = ( select distinct person_id

    from per_all_people_f

    where full_name = 'Ellis, Steven'

    )

    User Name : SELLIS

    Reset the Password as we did it above for the Manager.

    Login into the application using employee User Name 'SELLIS' and Password

    'sellistest'.

    Enter the following information after login :

    Current Password : sellistest

    New Password : sellistest1

    Re-enter New Password : sellistest1

    Click Apply.

    Select 'Nuance Employee Self Service US, Standard'.

    Click 'Performance Management'.

    Edit the appraisal that is created. Click Edit.

    Enter employee rating and comments for each competency and save.

    Click Continue.

    Click Continue.

    Enter Comments fro appraisal and Click Submit to Manager.

    The appraisal has been submitted to the Manager 'Gregory, John'.

    Step 6: - Login into application using Manager User Name and Password to

    evaluate the rating of the employee for the appraisal.

    Navigation :- Nuance Manager Self Service US, Standard Performance

    Appraisals Non Sales

    Edit Appraisal of the employee 'Ellis, Steven'.

    Edit the Appraisal to enter Manager Rating.

    Enter Manager Rating for that employee and Click Save.

    Appraisal is saved. Click Continue.

    Click Continue.

    Click Continue to have a final review of the appraisal.

    Click submit.

    Click Yes. Once you have submitted the appraisal no edits will be possible.

    Submitted the Appraisal for HR Approval.

    Step 7:- Now HR Manager of the Organization has to review the appraisal andapprove it. For this we should know the HR Manager of the Organization.

    To know the name execute the following query:

    select name

    from hr_all_organization_units

    where type = 'BG'

    and business_group_id = ( select distinct business_group_id

    from per_all_people_f

    where full_name = 'Ellis, Steven')

    Name : SSFT US Business Group

    Enter Name and Click Find.

    Click on DFF.

    HR Approver : O'Brien, Tim.

    We should log in into the application using HR approver O'Brien, Timothy user

    name and password.

    To get the User Name of the HR approver execute following query.

    Select user_name

    from fnd_user

    where employee_id = ( select distinct person_id

    from per_all_people_f

    where full_name like 'O%Brien, Tim')

    User Name : OBRIEN_TIM

    Reset the Password as we did it above for the Manager.

    Login into the application using employee User Name 'OBRIEN_TIM' and

    Password 'obrientim'.

    Enter the following information after login :

    Current Password : obrientim

    New Password : obrientim1

    Re-enter New Password : obrientim1

    Click Apply.

    Click on 'NUAN Document Approvals and Notifications' responsibility.

    Click on 'Nuance Appraisal for Ellis, Steven (Proposed by Gregory, John)

    Check the appraisal and click on 'Approve' if we want to approve it.

    Step 8: - This Process should follow through out the organization hierarchy of

    appraisal chain until it gets approved.
