Subordination differs from coordination.

In coordination you have two equal parts which makes a compound sentence.

But in subordination you have two unequal parts which makes a complex sentence. scDC, IC.

If one of these words appears in a sentence, you are looking at a complex sentence.

Example: Because the policeman was injured, the bandit

escaped. The bandit escaped because the policeman was

injured. Note:The curious thing about the complex sentence is that the order of the sentence may be reversed, and it still makes sense.
