Create Company Lists

Company Dossier is accessed from the main search screen via the drop-down menus under “Search by Content Type” or “Get Company Info.”

“Search by Content Type” provides a variety of search choices. Select the Dossier link to begin a search

“Create a Company List” Tab

From the Dossier search form select the “Create a Company List” tab.

The “Create a Company List” form provides limiters to filter queries by sales/revenues, total employees, SIC and NAICS codes and geographical location.

Company Type

Using the drop-down menu “Company Type” make a selection.

Choices include:• All Companies

• All Parent

• All Subsidiary

• Public – Parent

• Public – Subsidiary/Branch

• Private – Parent

• Private– Subsidiary/Branch

• All Non Categorized

Sales Revenues

The drop-down menu provides choices to limit the query by company sales/revenues.

Here $1,000,000 in sales/revenues is is selected.

Geographical InformationDrop-down menus limit queries by “Regions/Countries” and “States/Provinces”.

Use the search boxes to enter more specified information including:• Cities

• Postal Codes

• Counties

• Street Address

• Area Codes

Geographical Proximity

Entering a postal code into the search box activates the “Proximity” drop-down menu.

Allows geographical queries from within 5 to 20 miles from the postal code location.

Sales Revenues

The drop-down menu provides choices to limit the query by company sales/revenues.

Here $1,000,000 in sales/revenues is selected.

ResultsThe the query results in a list list of companies matching the search query.

Selecting a company link display a Snapshot of the company with links to other important information.

CustomizeSelect the Next: Customize List button to prepare the list for download.

Make any changes in the report (or none) and then select the Update Company List button.

Download

Use the check boxes to select information to download.

Select the Download Selected Items button.

Choose the format used to display the list after the download.

List

This is an example of the company list created via LexisNexis Academic.

The list has been imported into Microsoft Excel.

The list has links back to the Snapshots of the company information from the query.
