BEAUTY"COMES FROMTHE MIND AS FROM THE EYE"

Step 2: Your eyes are what draw attention to other people. Be clear that the spring look is more natural than over the top! Put a light shade of golden brown on you lids and blend with a darker brown. Then apply black eye liner and mascara to give that perfect end result. When applying the shadow to your eyelids use a small brush that is not to thin as you will be unable to blend.

Step 1: Make sure you have the correct colour foundation to your face colour. Apply a thin layer to hide all blemishes. Add a small amount of powder to get rid of the natural shine. Then add a small amount of pink rose blush to your cheek bones. This will give you a healthy looking glow.

Step 4: After you whole face is done, a must if to paint your nails! Purple is the new colour for this season, and whilst your make-up is subtle why no splash out with a bit of colour on your nails. Bright purple or even lilac will complete your make-over!

Achieve The Spring Look

Step 3: Add a light shade of pink lipstick onto your lips. After one application add a clear gloss over the top. This will give a natural shine to your lips. In order for the colour to stay all day you can finish by adding a lipstick sealant ontop of the lipstick.

HOMEMADE FACE MASKS

You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, mud or clay-based masks are great for balancing out your skin. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils. Ginseng or green tea masks are great for soothing sensitive skin.

Masks (homemade or otherwise) should stay on for 10-15 minutes, should follow with a thin layer of moisturizer.

POP MUSIC CONTROVERSY: How sex sells

Latex costumes, simulated sex, bans on YouTube and raps on the knuckles from broadcasters, the last week has seen controversy after controversy surround Rihanna’s last music video ‘S&M’.

In the last month alone, she’s been threatened with legal action, warned by The Brits to tone it down and entered into a public spat with Radio 1. After all that, she was accused of using her sex appeal as part of a publicity stunt.

If it is, Rihanna wouldn’t be the first female pop star to turn up the raunch in the hope of watching music sales rise along with temperatures. It’s a trend guaranteed to get the media in a tizz and make a star’s career go stratospheric.

But stripping down to the bare essentials doesn’t guarantee success. We countdown the most controversial pop antics by the singer’s who’ve gone before Rihanna and highlight some of the pitfalls of too much exposure.
