History of Golf

The Mary Poppins Golf It was until 2012 that in Portugal it

was created the “Mary Poppins Golf”, a home-made variation of this very royal sport.

What you will need

Several sheets of “used” Paper

(different colors if possible)

A umbrella for each player

Rules at a glance • The main aim of the Mary Poppins Golf is to

hit the golf paper ball into the hole in as few of strokes (swings at the ball) as possible.

• 14 holes are distributed among the living room;

• Each hole as a different score according to its level of difficulty to reach it;

• Each player can only use one umbrella club and 3 paper balls;

• Each player can only kick the ball one time for each round;

• Each player has 1 hour to hit the 14 holes.

Preparing the game

1. Make 3 paper balls for each player; 2. Fold 14 flags and write down numbers

from 1 to 14; 3. Place 14 squares of paper on the floor; 4. For each hole (paper squares) give a

flag with a specific number according to its level of difficulty;

1. Prepare your umbrella and your paper balls

2. Then, make the flags and number each one

3. Distribute the holes on the floor

4. Prepare to hit the ball!

5. Almost there!
