Several parents have complained to him that the school does not offer advanced placement courses in several areas. He knows his district cannot afford to hire teachers for these subjects. He has heard about virtual courses in these topics offered by a consortium in another state, and he thinks this would be a good idea for his district. He tells the superintendent that since the more advanced students would be the ones taking these courses, they should do well in them.
