Anything but typical This year I celebrated my 40th birthday. While many people were congratulating me on now being officially OLD, I reflected on how life at camp is anything but typical. How many typical 40 year olds get to spend their summers at camp? How many typical 40 year olds get to play dodgeball, throw waterballoons, go tubing, play games, worship, eat strange concoctions that shouldn’t be described here, and call it all ‘work’. I am blessed to be able to work and serve in a ministry that is anything but typical.

Summer Camp at Cran-Hill Ranch is a place where kids can experience the non-typical. From our outrageous staff, to our activities and meals, camp is designed to be distinctively different than everyday life. Year after year campers come back because camp is a place where they can be themselves, be accepted, be challenged, and be loved. We think that should be typical of life in the world – but sadly it is not. So we work hard at making sure that Camp is that place. We work hard at hiring staff, planning activities and developing Bible studies that all work together to give kids the best week of their summer.

This summer we are working even harder to make coming to camp affordable. Our deposit is only $50, and if ANYTHING happens that means you can’t come to camp, you can cancel without any penalty.We are keeping our “Find 3, come for FREE” promotion because we know that satisfied camper families are our best source for getting the word out about Cran-Hill Ranch. We will still give you a free water bottle just for regis-tering online, and a free Theme T-shirt if you register by March 15.

NEW is a multiple Child (or multiple week) discount. For each additional child that you send to camp (or if the same child comes for more than 1 week) you take another $10 off the registration cost.

Worry Free RegistrationRegistering for summer camp shouldn’t cause you to wonder, ”What if something comes up and my child can’t make it, do I lose my deposit?” The answer is, NO! Any amount that you pay will be given back to you, in-full, in the form of a Cran-Hill Ranch Voucher. This voucher is good for ANYTHING at Cran-Hill Ranch. You can use it for another child at camp, RV reservations, one of our pro-grammed retreats, or even ice cream in the Barn Store.So don’t worry, register for camp and get ready for a GREAT summer at Cran-Hill Ranch.

Payment OptionsWe always give you options in paying for summer camp. You can pay all at once or over time, whichever is best for you. Once your deposit and registra-tion form are in you just need to make sure your balance is paid in full one month prior to the week of camp.

Our StaffWe literally scour the globe to bring the best staff here for the summer at Cran-Hill Ranch. Each year we spend over 5 months touring and inter-viewing college students all throughout the mid-west. We also partner with Camp Counselors USA to hire international students from all over the world to come and share their lives with us in a variety of areas. Each applicant goes through an extensive application, background check and interview process. Once hired they will spend over 20 hours of online training before coming to our week long staff training. During staff training they will experience all the activities the campers enjoy, so that when the campers get here they already know why kids keep coming back to Cran-Hill Ranch.

Age Appropriate ProgramsAt Cran-Hill Ranch we understand that kids learn at different levels and that not all activities are appropriate for all age groups. That is why our camps are broken down into 3 different age levels; IGNITE, FUEL, and MOMENTUM. IGNITE is for campers age 7-10. The activities and Bible teaching are designed specifically around the cabin group. We offer more time to get from place to place, higher supervision, and even half week options. FUEL is for campers 10-13. Here campers get more individual options on what they get to do at camp and are able to choose different activities each day on their own. New this summer we are offering Adventure Camp(more inside).MOMENTUM is for campers 13-17. These weeks of camp offer special out trips like off-site rock climbing, paint ball and overnight horsemanship trail camping. MOMENTUM campers also get expanded specialty camp options like digital photography, worship arts and watersports.No matter what age your camper is, our highly trained and experi-enced staff are always coming up with new and exciting programs that keep kids coming back to Cran-Hill Ranch.

Zip Line, Trail RidesFUEL ages 10-13Fuel camp gives campers at Cran-Hill Ranch more activities, bigger fun, and greater choices. We offer three different camp-ing options, Maximum Exposure (Max-X), Horsemanship and our new Adventure Camp.

In Max-X, campers have a time each day when they get to choose what activities they do. “Do I want to go to the climbing tower or take a canoe around the lake?”Fuel campers are given the ability to make choices for them-selves in a safe environment. While here, we want them to have fun, meet new friends and be challenged by God’s word.

Horsemanship campers spend 2 to 2 1/2 hours each day tack-ing, grooming, riding, and learning all about horses. Our trained staff follow CHA guidelines in our program which is structured so no matter your level of experience there is always something new to learn.

NEW! Adventure Camp gives campers the opportunity to take camping to a whole new level. Each day will be filled with activities like rock climbing, canoeing, team building, day hikes, mountain biking, cooking over the fire and camping under the stars.

Camp is more than just fun and games, we give campers a place to learn and grow in their walk with God each day.

Momentum ages 13-17Momentum camp has been redesigned for 2011. We have added new programs and activities that are only offered to our Momentum campers. OUT TRIPS!!! Each week campers can choose from the follow-ing activities that are exclusive to Momentum campers:canoe trip, off site climbing trip, paint ball, and a horseman-ship overnight trail trip.We also offer 6 different specialty camps only for Momentum campers.Max-X- you get to choose different activities each day. We have added new activities only for you.Horsemanship- continue your training for 2 to 2 1/2 hours each day and even spend the night under the stars.Digital Photography- bring your camera and join our profes-sional photographer as you create your own bound photo book.Water Sports Camp- enjoy group lessons each day from the professionals at Action Water Sports. •Unless noted, all camps begin on Sunday. Registration will open at 4 pm.

•Unless noted, all camps conclude on Friday with a closing ceremony at 2 pm.

•Cell phones, computers, mp3 players, electronic devices and other valuables need to be left at home.

Man Camp June 24-26This is a great camp for both the big and “little” men of the house to come to camp together. This special weekend of camp gives fathers and sons, uncles and nephews, grandpas and grandsons (8 and up) a new opportunity to grow closer together and with God in our adventure camp setting. For the last five years, Cran-Hill Ranch has offered an alternative to summer day care, DAY CAMP. Camp-
