This is my final newsleer and by far the most difficult to write. Since making my intenons known I have experienced many waves of very mixed emoons. It’s tough saying goodbye to something that has been a strong and important part of my life for so many years. I know how lucky I have been to have had the opportunity and privilege to be the Principal of Crabbes Creek Public School for close to 20 years. Being Principal at Crabbes Creek Public School has been a period of my career in educaon that I will remember with great fondness. My CCPS memories will be filled with all of the special moments that we as a school community have created here together. I have enjoyed the challenges, the iniaves, the creavity, the professionalism and the commitment that we have all worked on together as a team of teachers, students and community. I have enjoyed working with you all to make Crabbes Creek Public School the great school that it is. As I say goodbye to my students I hope that they will take these final words of advice to heart: be curious, find and follow your passion, be safe, be fair and perhaps most importantly - be kind - to yourself, to others and the environment. Remember that your experiences at Crabbes Creek Public School will help to shape who you are so be grateful for the people who care and love you and be inspired and excited about your future. To all of my staff, I will miss you all. I sincerely thank you for everything you have done and will connue to do at Crabbes Creek Public School. I honour your professionalism, your commitment, your passion and your genuine care and concern that you show for every child in our school. How do I not get emoonal when I am saying farewell to the people and place that has been a part of me for so long? I will never forget the experience of being the Principal and a part of this wonderful school. I look forward to hearing all about Crabbes Creek Public School in the future as it connues to grow and go from strength to strength. ;;; Whoo hoo!! Congratulations to Marielou who qualified to compete at State PSSA tennis. She will be travelling to Albury

with her dad and will compete on the 7th May. We are all so proud of you Marielou. Good luck!

To help fund competitors travelling to State competitions the PSSA are raffling $1500 worth of sporting equipment. The

tickets are $2.00 each. If you would like to help Marielou please come to my office and buy a ticket from me this week.

Recently students acknowledged and celebrated Harmony Day. Thanks to Matt and Rose who provided some fabulous

entertainment. It was great to see students and parents enthusiastically joining in the Haka! Marielou, Henrietta and

Ella showed great leadership in running a variety of workshops.

Thanks also to Mrs Glasson who organised such a fabulous day for students.

As ANZAC Day falls in the holidays, we will be holding a service at school at 10.00am on Friday 13th April. Parent &

Community members are invited to join us.

This Thursday our year 5 & 6 students have been invited to participate in the personal development and leadership

program known as ‘QUEST’. They will be trained in areas such as communication skills, working alongside others,

assertiveness, how to read body language, ‘bully proofing’ yourself and what it means to be a leader. They will

participate alongside students from all of the S8 schools and we are sure they will bring their new understandings back

to continue to improve the culture of our school. Training will be at Crabbes Creek Hall on Thursday 12th April.

The whole school will be participating in the Small Schools Cross Country Carnival at Stokers Siding Public School on

Friday 4th May, along with several other small schools. A permission note will go out Week 1 Term 2. Mr Belleville, Mrs

Eadsforth, Mr Russell, and Bronwyn will be accompanying the students.

The GRIP Student Leadership Conference concentrates specifically on training upper primary school students for their

role as school leaders. It is not necessarily aimed at students who have a recognised leadership role within a school but

has a focus on the philosophy that each upper primary aged student plays an important role RIGHT NOW as a leader in

their school context. The conference will be held Friday 11th May at Twin Towns Clubs and Resorts at 8.30am. Notes

will be sent home next term. Mr Belleville will be accompanying the students.
