What is CPR? CPR is method to save people who have

got ‘HEART ARREST’ or ‘PULMONARY ARREST’

Heart arrest : the heart stop pumping Pulmonary arrest : stop breathing

HEART ARREST SIGNS (2) 3. We can’t feel the main arteries pulse. there are 3 main arteries :

- Artery on the Neck Carotid artery - Artery on the hand Radialis artery

- Artery on the Leg Femoralis artery

When we maybe need to do CPR? We found people fainted or

unconcious..

When We Don’t Have to??- The guy that we want to help already

DIED- Our safety is insecure… for example :

we are on the road with many cars, etc.

First thing to do Make sure that we won’t be in danger

when we want to do CPR..

Check the patient situation Call the name of person or just call

‘Mister..mister, are U alright??” Shake his/her body.. Make sure that the patient

unconcious..

Call for help If the patient is unconcious, quickly call

120 or call ambulance..

Check the pulse Check the pulse on NECK Use your index finger, middle finger,

ring finger to check the pulse.. Count the pulse for 5 seconds.. If U don’t feel the pulse then prepare

for CPR

Prepare the CPR

Put the patient to lie down position.. If the clothes too thick, take off some of

them.. Be on the right side of patient.. Ready to CPR..

Important!!!

Make sure the neck’s bone of patient not broken..

If U don’t sure or the patient has car accident, then U just think that the patient neck’s bone is broken..

Start the CPR Put your finger and find the position of

“sternum” like on the picture.. Move your finger about 2-3 cms to above the

Sternum.. That is the position where your hand when U do

CPR..

Cycle of CPR Each cycle of CPR is contain : - 30 compression - 2 breathing by mouth to mouth

Compression Do the compression with depth about 4-

5 cm.. Do the compression with tempo

100x/minute.

Airway Open the airway with 2 ways : - for neck injury patient -> jaw thrust - for common -> head tilt chin lift

Breathing Put tissue on patient mouth for your safely.. Give 2 times of breathing via mouth to mouth.. Make sure the chest lifted..

AFTER 5 CYCLES Check the pulse.. If U still don’t feel the pulse, continue the CPR

When To Stop Do CPR?? After The Ambulance or Doctor came..

We are exhausted..When the patient already show

movement or breath..
