Project Overview Nae Thit Project, 2019 Community Partners International (CPI)'s Nae Thit Project supports grassroots organizations in Myanmar to develop and lead small-scale, community-led projects that promote the health and well-being of conflict-affected, hard-to-reach and underserved communities. The project focuses particularly on supporting organizations and initiatives with strong potential for impact and growth, that fill critical service gaps for populations in great need, and have strong foundations of trust with and access to the communities that they serve. Small grants are awarded each year through competitive selection process. Applicant projects can be located in any state or region of Myanmar and grants are provided for periods of up to 12 months. In 2019, applications were accepted across a broad range of thematic areas including: Reproductive, maternal, neonatal and child health (RMNCH) Malaria and tuberculosis prevention and treatment Care and support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) Community based primary health care (CBPHC) Women and youth empowerment Microfinance and sustainable livelihoods Social capital development In 2019, CPI made grant awards totaling $239,900 to 11 grassroots organizations in nine of Myanmar's states and regions.
