• Engineers with little time to spare
The reverse of this leafl et shows the course schedule and pricing structure.
Staff from the following organisations have
contributed to the development of worked examples:
Buro Happold; Mann Williams; Parsons Brinkerhoff; BDA
The University of Bath Eurocode Direct course will cover:
• Principles and loads• Concrete• Masonry• Steel• Timber
The Course has been developed with input from practising
engineers to meet the needs of practising engineers. It is
delivered in modules, each consisting of a lecture and a
set of worked examples. It takes place over two days but
delegates can choose to attend for day one (Concrete and
Masonry) or day two (Steel and Timber) or both days. The
course is concise, teaching the differences between British
Standards and Eurocode, and the application of Eurocode
to simple design elements. Good design is good design
whatever Code underwrites it. This Course offers a Direct
route to adoption of Eurocodes for engineers with design
knowledge. The Course is not suitable for Engineers
requiring an in-depth study of Eurocodes. It is suitable for
design engineers needing to apply Eurocode to everyday
designs and for managers who need to understand the
implications of Eurocode in design.
