Staff from the following organisations have contributed to the development of worked examples: Buro Happold; Mann Williams; Parsons Brinkerhoff; BDA The University of Bath Eurocode Direct course will cover: Principles and loads Concrete Masonry Steel Timber The Course has been developed with input from practising engineers to meet the needs of practising engineers. It is delivered in modules, each consisting of a lecture and a set of worked examples. It takes place over two days but delegates can choose to attend for day one (Concrete and Masonry) or day two (Steel and Timber) or both days. The course is concise, teaching the differences between British Standards and Eurocode, and the application of Eurocode to simple design elements. Good design is good design whatever Code underwrites it. This Course offers a Direct route to adoption of Eurocodes for engineers with design knowledge. The Course is not suitable for Engineers requiring an in-depth study of Eurocodes. It is suitable for design engineers needing to apply Eurocode to everyday designs and for managers who need to understand the implications of Eurocode in design.
