Maintaining and Setting Up User Groups
PRE-EXISTING AND CREATING NEW USER GROUPS
• Costpoint comes with several pre-defined user groups which can be utilized for users. If desired, these User Groups can be modified to meet your companies specific needs
• You also have the option to create custom User Groups that are unique and specific to your business
• When assigning access to users it’s important to always consider segregation of controls and where your company has set those boundaries
PRE-EXISTING USER GROUPS
• Pre-Existing User Groups come standard with Costpoint and generally start with “STD”. These User Groups have pre-defined access based on various roles your company many have such as Accounting Manager, AP Clerk, Contract Manager just to name a few.
• While these user groups are pre-set with the module and or application rights you still have the ability to modify access within these groups if desired.

Creating New User Groups
You have the ability to design and establish custom User Groups that are unique to your organization. You select the title of the User Groups as well as what access, both module and application, will be granted when a user is assigned to the Group.
To create a new User Group go to System Administration > Security > Manage User Groups

T&E 10 User Groups
To review user groups and associated menu assignments, complete the following steps:
1. Click Administration » Security » System Security » Manage User Groups.
2. In User Groups, select the group you want to review.
3. Click the Application Rights subtask

TE10 Required User Groups• TE10 is interfaced with Costpoint. TE10 User Groups do not come pre-established
and will need to be set up
• TE10 User Groups should ALL start with T
• At a minimum you might have ADMIN, Supervisor and Employee TE User Groups. Employees will be assigned to the applicable User Group based on the Security Role assigned in the TE Resource record
• Separate User Groups for each application Time and Expense . • Time: TE_ADMIN, TE_EMPL, TE_SPVSR,• Expense: TE_EP_ADMIN, TE_EP_EMPLOYEE, TE_EP_SPVSR, RCPTS
