seating plan in line with (SD) assessment. Persons seated two pews apart unless members of the same household. No choir, bell ringers or organists permitted at Phase 2. Limit access to areas (Central Pews only, with chapels and side pews taped off) this will reduce the amount of cleaning.

Set arrival times for the service, use SD markings to stagger persons waiting outside and inside the Church.

Clearly identify single point of entry to the church and introduce one-way flow at the entry and exit points. Consider propping doors open to reduce the use of door handles. Conduct walkthrough of one-way route to check 2m physical distancing.Note: Normal arrangements for fire safety remain in place.

Notices regarding hygiene and SD measures including use of hand sanitiser placed at entrance door.

touching their eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

Enhanced cleaning regimes of frequently touched surfaces. For examples door handles, keypads, ladders, handrails etc.

2. From contaminated respiratory droplets released by currently infectious individuals. This mainly happens when someone coughs, sneezes or blows their nose but can also occur during normal respiration. Respiratory droplets are not airborne for long and is the reason for the government’s emphasis on social distancing involving people not coming within 2 meters of each other.

Strictly adhere to the minimum 2 meters social distancing, where possible.
