Contact architect for clarification if necessary. 3. Contractor shall obtain all permits required by local and state governing authorities. 4. All work shall meet the standards and specifications of the local and state governing authorities. Reference Codes, Standards and amendments shall be the edition most recently adopted or in use in the jurisdiction. 5. Contractor shall verify all dimensions in field and shall coordinate installation of all material and/or equipment whose dimensions are fixed. In the event that existing conditions are found to vary from assumed conditions, notify Architect immediately for clarification. 6. Contractor shall coordinate the work of all trades required to perform the Work. Where installation and/or connection of equipment is not specified and where such connection and/or installation is required for a complete and operable facility, the contractor shall be held responsible for such installation and/or connection. 7. All work required by these Contract Documents shall be furnished and installed complete and in operating condition. Contractor shall furnish and install any items that may not be covered in the plans, but are necessary to provide a complete and workable project. 8. Repetitive features not noted on the drawings shall be completely provided as if drawn in full. If certain features are not fully shown or called for on the drawings their construction shall be of the same character as for similar conditions that are shown or called for. 9. Contractor is responsible for all bracing and shoring. 10. Dimensions are to the face of stud at walls, face of concrete at foundation walls, to the center of columns and openings and to the top of slab or plywood sub-floor unless otherwise noted. Dimensions for door and window sizes are approximate, Contractor to verify all such dimensions and rough openings with manufacturers. 11. Contractor to verify all elevations prior to starting work and verify size, location and material required for sanitary sewer, storm and water lines. Notify Architect of any variations from assumed conditions. 12. Contractor shall bear all expense of repair or replacement of utilities or other property damage by operations in conjunction with the execution of this work. 13. No portion of the work requiring a shop drawing or sample submission shall be commenced until the submission has been approved by the Owner's Representative. All such portions of the work shall be in accordance with approved shop drawings and sample. Owner's Representative shall determine which portions of the Work shall require shop drawing submittals. 14. CONSTRUCTION NOTESGENERAL NOTES:1. Use construction practices to obtain high quality

construction results. If in doubt about proposed means,methods or materials discuss with owners representativebefore proceeding.

2. All proposed substitutions must have owner approval,must be equal or better in owner's opinion and mustinclude data to substantiate the equal or better argument.

3. Contractor to provide two year comprehensive warrantyfrom substantial completion to replace or repair at nocharge any item or system indicated to be faulty byowners representative. Disagreements may be resolvedby architect for standard hourly fee.

CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE1. Broom finish exterior, expansion joints as shown.2. Slope exterior concrete away from building ¼”/ft. slope.3. Picture frame exterior edge of sidewalk. Remove any

sharp edges.4. Ease or chamfer exterior edge of sidewalk.5. Sack finish column bases for smooth, uniform concrete

finish.6. Submit design mix per structural notes for owner

approval. Consider admixtures, drying time and requiredmoisture content vs. construction schedule.

7. Submit rebar shop drawings for owner approval.

METALS1. Galvanize all metal connectors, bolts, nuts and fasteners.

Spot galvanize any items scratched or damaged duringinstallation. Any steel items exposed to moisture must becoated to prevent rust.

WOOD1. All plywood to be CDX or better to resist moisture

damage.

METAL ROOF PANELS1. Submit shop drawings for owner approval.2. Provide 50-year warranty.

PAINT, STAIN, AND PROTECTIVE COATINGS1. Provide a primer coat and (2) coats of exterior paint.

Provide paints formulated for ease of cleaning and highmoisture resistance.

2. Provide draw downs of all colors, and manufacturesinformation for owner approval.

3. Provide standard warranties.

PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL1. Plumbing and electrical are bidder design.2. All fixtures to be school quality appropriate for public use

and resistant to vandalism.3. Submit shop drawings for approval.4. Provide standard warranty.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:1. The contractor is responsible for checking the site conditions and the plans

and to notify the owner of any errors or omissions prior to the start ofconstruction.

2. Do not scale drawing. Contact architect for clarification if necessary.3. Contractor shall obtain all permits required by local and state governing

authorities.4. All work shall meet the standards and specifications of the local and state

governing authorities. Reference Codes, Standards and amendments shallbe the edition most recently adopted or in use in the jurisdiction.

5. Contractor shall verify all dimensions in field and shall coordinate installationof all material and/or equipment whose dimensions are fixed. In the eventthat existing conditions are found to vary from assumed conditions, notifyArchitect immediately for clarification.

6. Contractor shall coordinate the work of all trades required to perform theWork. Where installation and/or connection of equipment is not specified andwhere such connection and/or installation is required for a complete andoperable facility, the contractor shall be held responsible for such installationand/or connection.

7. All work required by these Contract Documents shall be furnished andinstalled complete and in operating condition. Contractor shall furnish andinstall any items that may not be covered in the plans, but are necessary toprovide a complete and workable project.

8. Repetitive features not noted on the drawings shall be completely provided asif drawn in full. If certain features are not fully shown or called for on thedrawings their construction shall be of the same character as for similarconditions that are shown or called for.

9. Contractor is responsible for all bracing and shoring.10. Dimensions are to the face of stud at walls, face of concrete at foundation

walls, to the center of columns and openings and to the top of slab or plywoodsub-floor unless otherwise noted. Dimensions for door and window sizes areapproximate, Contractor to verify all such dimensions and rough openingswith manufacturers.

11. Contractor to verify all elevations prior to starting work and verify size, locationand material required for sanitary sewer, storm and water lines. NotifyArchitect of any variations from assumed conditions.

12. Contractor shall bear all expense of repair or replacement of utilities or otherproperty damage by operations in conjunction with the execution of this work.

13. No portion of the work requiring a shop drawing or sample submission shallbe commenced until the submission has been approved by the Owner'sRepresentative. All such portions of the work shall be in accordance withapproved shop drawings and sample. Owner's Representative shalldetermine which portions of the Work shall require shop drawing submittals.

14. Project Modifications: The Architect is not responsible for any consequencesarising directly or indirectly from the actions of others in connection with theproject, including but not limited to changes made in plans, details, materialsor construction techniques made by the Owner, the Contractor or any otherparty not working directly for the Architect.
