EVENT SNAPSHOT Presentation On June 07th, Rob Gelphman kicked off the media conference by introducing MoCA and the new MoCA

Access specification to Chinese media. In his speech, Rob indicated that MoCA Access will provide the

best capabilities for operators to meet the increasing need for high speed transformation. After Rob’s

speech, we are honored to have three guest speakers from Luster, ABP and MaxLinear to endorse the

alliance and the launch of new specification.

Mr. Wang and Mr. Feng from Luster gave a detailed speech on the deployment of MoCA technology in

China and introduced Luster’s products with MoCA technology. Guest from ABP delivered the potentials

of coax. In addition, Ms. Tian from MaxLinear elaborated how MaxLinear works with Luster to promote

MoCA’s development in China.

Media Q&A Session During the Q&A session, reporters showed great interests in how MoCA Access leverage existing coax to

deliver fast speed for users and the different roles played by partners, operators and MoCA Alliance.

Rob and guest speakers from Luster, MaxLinear highlighted that MoCA Access leverages the existing

coax to provide the best transfer capacity for broadband network and it is currently the best choice for

operators to deploy in China.

People’s Posts and Telecommunications News: MoCA Releases the Latest Broadband Access Specification (Print) Cnii: MoCA Releases the Latest Broadband Access Specification MoCA unveils the release of MoCA Access, the first broadband access specification after the announcement of entering this market. As a point-to-multipoint technology, MoCA Access serves up to 63 modems and co-exists with TV, DOCSIS and cellular technologies. By inheriting the advantages of MoCA 2.5, the latency of MoCA Access is less than 5 millionseconds and the actual throughputs is up to 2.5 Gbps.

Bc.tech-ex: Blockbuster! MoCA Access Specification is Available Now! On June 7th, MoCA announced the availability of MoCA Access in China. During the conference, Rob Gelphman from MoCA introduced key features and application scenarios of MoCA Access. The article quotes Rob: “With absolute superiority of high performance, availability and reliability, MoCA Access is designed as a high-speed technology to meet operators’ needs and it is well recognized by the industry. The field tests in China showed most existing coax network in China can meet the requirements of MoCA Access.”

CWW: FTTH? Operators Should Leverage Existing Coax Efficiently First! Although most districts have achieved FTTH, there’s still big space for coax. MoCA believes coax is an effective medium to accelerate the transformation speed after FTTH. Rob Gelphman from MoCA introduced that MoCA Access is a fiber extension technology, which is able to deliver 2.5 Gbps transfer rate by leverage existing coax in buildings. The article concluded that as China has over 250 million coax stocks currently, operators should leverage existing coax effectively, playing out the advantage of spectrum allocation to deliver higher bandwidth, lower latency and faster speed to users.

ChinaAET: Giving Out the Advantages of Coax, MoCA Access Copes with Gbit Era On June 7th, MoCA unveils MoCA Access, the new broadband access specification. Based on MoCA 2.5 specification, the actual throughputs of MoCA Access can reach to 2.5 Gbps downstream and 2 Gbps upstream. Its operating frequency range is 400MHz - 1675MHz and it can co-exist with TV, DOCSIS and 4G/5G technologies.
