Debbie Walburn 1646 E 400 Road Lawrence, KS 66049 785-691-7802 [email protected] I am currently employed as the Clerk of the Board for USD 343 Perry Public Schools, but am interested in applying for a position with your company. I am responsible for all aspects of payroll, employee benefits (including our Section 125 and health insurance), handle workman’s compensation claims, handle unemployment issues and hearings. I monitor the license expiration dates for our certified and administrative staff. I monitor and administer FMLA and ADA compliance. I have been instrumental in developing job descriptions for our classified staff, as well as updating yearly the classified handbook. I created the first employee safety manual for our district three years ago. I update it yearly as needed and have staff sign off that they have received and read it. I also handle the budget documentation and assist with the preparation of the yearly budget for our school district. I am responsible for creating and logging all employee contracts. There are many other duties that I have and many that I have received training on but currently do not handle. I am a quick study and eager to learn everything that I can as it pertains to human resources and other professional office policies/procedures. In addition, I also work as a point of sale cashier and customer service cashier at Kohl’s in Topeka. This position has allowed me to sharpen my “people skills” and become more comfortable meeting new people and selling our products/services. I feel that this skill will benefit me greatly in any business that deals with selling products to the public. Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. Sincerely, Debbie Walburn
