I am Karthik Kalyani Vijaya Kumar, Fall 2015 student graduating inElectrical department.I have worked in the similar field, as in, i was workingin my friend’s photography studio, where they specialized in video record-ing and editing. Here ,i was exposed to various recording devices. I handledextended displays here, though it was difficult for first time i got used to itafter several sessions.I worked on trimming frames, adding transitions and special effects,recordingfrom installed cameras, recording on the desktop environment, mixing au-dio with video at various locations tailored for the requirements of the cus-tomers. I am well versed in the editing software such as windows moviemaker and VirtualDub which, i believe, makes transition easy for varioussoftware. Therefore i believe i am suitable candidate for this job.I haveobserved that the most suitable qualities for this job will be focus and ob-servation which i think i have developed over a period of time.Before joining to CU Boulder, I was working in CamTek Solutions,a com-pany, which dealt with providing engineering solutions to various domains.Here i had an experience of working o internals of various kinds of camerasalong with testing , verifying them, as part of my job.Apart from this,Now, i am specializing in Signal Processing and Commu-nications, i have worked on Image Processing and Gait Analysis,I have aresearch paper in this domain. I am fluent in matlab, and good at Digitalsignal processing. I would like to improve more in this area, and i see thisas an opportunity which is up for the grabs. I am sufficiently well versedin C, C++ and learning Java. I would be looking for opportunities whichenhances my skills in these areas.Learning Outcomes from this job:I believe, by involving into job that is related to my academics, not onlyi learn allot but also do job much more effectively. I would be interactingwith best of the domain experts; thereby , improving in technical aspects of

the above mentioned sections,as a hobbyist, it will be new experience inter-acting with professionals in this regard. I would like to see this opportunityas gateway to learning something exciting and new, in a fun filled atmo-sphere. I would love to work on my programming skills and video editingskills further.
