Baseline Customer Satisfaction Survey for System Office: Jan. 20-31
Just as patient satisfaction at our ministry is measured by the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, the St. Joseph Health system office will measure internal customer satisfaction by conducting a sur-vey among stakeholders from each ministry during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2014. To establish a baseline metric for the system office, a random sampling of 33 percent of executives, leaders and staff from ministries throughout the health system will be surveyed Jan. 20-31. Employees chosen to participate will receive an email with a link to complete a simple, five-question, online survey. If you receive a request to participate, we appreciate your prompt and candid response.

Spotlighted in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal
Are you a health professional that wouldn't mind sharing more about your story, what you do and what kind of research you are doing with the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal? The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal is starting a new segment that is a ‘meet your healthcare professional’ spotlight. They are interested in featuring doctors, nurses and others that take care of patients! This would be a way for the community to learn more about the person taking care of them, not just the professional side. Also, she is looking for medical professionals that are currently working on research projects. They want to know why medical professionals are doing the research and how it will help the com-munity. This is a GREAT way to get all the great Covenant Health employees recognized for all the great work you all are doing and will continue to do. We just need volunteers! If you are inter-ested in participating, please email Whitney Bryant at [email protected]. Make sure and include a little background information on your research and why you are interested in the subject.
MEDITECH Success Stories
• Many of you know that we initiated a MEDITECH Improvement Workgroup back in November. This workgroup includes senior leadership, the MEDITECH team and Information Technology. The team is meeting three times a week to identify and expedite enhancements and fixes in MEDITECH. The goals of the group include: improving communication, acquiring and coordinating support personnel, streamlining the change request process and follow up and improving workflow and processes. Since forming this group, we have had many successes that we would like to share with you.
• Dr. Amy Thompson will lead the newly established Pediatric Focus Group. This is a huge success in that we have a representative leading a group that didn’t exist before. This will result in Covenant Health having a voice and the ability to change things that have flaws. This also will help to develop consistent care and collaboration amongst the entire system. We are confident that the formation of this group will improve pediatric care.
• We have spent a lot of time revamping the process of telephone support/the service desk. We now
urge you to simply call 5-5555 if you need ANY help with MEDITECH. We added telephone support, so we hope you have noticed a decrease in wait time and quicker resolutions. Here is Service Desk information for the month of December: The Service Desk and support teams received 5,772 requests/incidents in December 2013 from Texas. 1,789 (31%) were Password Resets. Self-Service Password Resets went live on January 6, so users can reset their own passwords. 98% of the requests have been closed taking an average of 2.5 days to resolve.
• Dragon has been stabilized and has been successfully piloted in the Adult and Children’s ED. Dragon
training will once again be available. This entails a one hour one-on-one session with one of our Physician Liaisons (PLS) or the additional support staff on site. These sessions can be scheduled by calling 806-448-8423.
