• Your goal: focus on requirements for that game type

• e.g. - it what contexts is the game ideal for? - how does the game suit different contexts? - how does the game player relate to other people? - why do people like that game type? - what do different types of people think of the game? - do people play different games at diff times for diff reasons?

Choosing Methods

• I will teach methods in the next 3 classes

• You should choose 2 separate methods - and do them in pairs/threes - and do them properly - you must explain and provide evidence of doing so - all methods must involve human participants

• All members of the group must take part in the elicitation - evidence is required

• Both methods must involve human participants - Its up to you to find anyone who will take part - It shouldnt be hard to find people who play games on their phone

• Participants must NOT be studying CS in Nottingham

• You will have to revisit participants to validate at the end - so make sure they are happy to do this

• No children under the age of 13 may take part - you might want to consider the impact of this in your report

• 1) Get participants to walk you through what they do

• 2) Investigate as many aspects of the situation as possible - when they do play a game AND when not - how they choose games AND why not choose games - when they install games - when/why they uninstall games

• 3) Take: audio, video, notes, photos, anything - check what participants are comfortable with
