It has got 3 conectors as the TRS, but thisis expected to use with microphones.
They are balanced cables, so they areoften use when you have long runs ofunbalanced cables (as the TS is) in order to prevend losing signal.

It has a ¼ inch cable input, a parallel
output (for TS or TRS cable) and a XLRtype output.
This device allow us change from an
unbalanced signal to a balanced signal.E.g. from a TS cable to a XLR.

They function like a TS cable as theyhave a single conductor and a shield.
You should keep in mind that this type ofcable often assumes the minus 10 signallevel when connected to proffesionalgear.
