1. Course and applications: Basic notions in ophthalmology (related to ophthalmologic disorders: diagnosis
and primary treatment);
- medical and surgical emergencies in ophthalmology;
- ophthalmologic disorders that start from bucco-maxilla-facial and dental etiology;

conditions, classic and modern evaluation methodology, necessary outfit and materials (2 hours)
4. Subjective clinical examination: General information. Anamnesis (definition, methodology, algorithm) –
Reasons for the patient’s coming. History of the current disorder. General personal medical history. Personal dental

-The courses present definition and classification of dental caries, epidemiological considerations,
etiopathogeny, mechanisms of demineralization and remineralization of dental tissues and pulpal reactions in
different categories of dental caries. During the practical training in Simulation Laboratory, the students are

- The courses present the possibilities to classify patients accordingly to cariogenic risk, different clinical
diagnostic techniques and additional diagnostic methods, dental materials and direct restorative techniques
related to clinical situations. During the module of Clinical Cariology, the student achieves the practical
knowledge related to clinical examination, assessment of caries risk, diagnosis of non-cavitary and cavitary
caries, direct restorative techniques using adhesive materials and dental amalgam.
