If you have passed all portions of the STAAR EOC’s and are current on credits, then you may be eligible for “off periods.”
Seniors—Up to two periods off

Pre-AP/AP coursesChallenge yourself!Ask your teacher what you would need to do to be successful in a Pre-AP/AP course. These courses are widely known for preparing you for college success.These courses require a contract to be signed by you and your parent. These will be available after course selection.
Dual CreditYou have been notified if you qualify to enroll in dual credit courses (must have at least a 3.0 GPA )
Indicate those choices when you sign up for classes (on the list)
You must complete all steps or you will be removed from those courses

Failed courses?After grades have been finalized, the counselors will place you in any courses you need for graduation. You will forfeit off periods and/or elective courses.

If you have not conferred with teachers requiring applications or approval, you will be removed from their list and put in one of your alternates
