On April 23, Seniors Daniel Kim and Shoko
Nagami performed in the Chamber Music Soci-
ety of Lincoln Center's Annual Young Musicians
Concert at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.
The duo was one of only eleven groups select-
ed from throughout the tri-state area.

DECA Goes to Orlando
This past week Ridgewood High School DECA
traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete in the
International Career Development Conference.
This year, forty-four students traveled to the
annual ICDC to compete in a variety of compe-
titions that included competitive role-plays,
tests, and entrepreneurial presentations. The
most RHS students to ever compete.
FAST FACTS...
Technology has become critical in education,
according to a Pew Research survey, with 92% of
teachers reporting using the internet for teaching.

Ridgewood High School recipients of the Maroon

the Library on April 30. The award recognizes stu-
dents who make a positive difference in the RHS
and Ridgewood community.
Current president, senior Gabe Voorhis-Allen, intro-
duces the candidates for student body treasurer,
secretary, vice-president, and president before their
speeches on April 30. Voting took place on May 1.

RHS POLICY CORNER: Restricted Areas During Instructional Hours
While class is in session, students may not remain in the staff
parking lot. Any area may become off limits if noise interferes with
instruction.
During the course of the school day, Heermance Place is regarded as
part of the Ridgewood High School Campus. As such, rules of
behavior are similar to those for any other part of the school
grounds. Students are also not permitted to sit in parked and/or
idling automobiles anywhere on campus during the school day.
While classes are in session, students are not to congregate in the
hallways or areas of the building where classrooms are located. Un-
der no circumstances are students to engage in behavior that is dis-
turbing to the learning process going on in classrooms.
Students who are uncooperative or who are repeatedly disruptive
will be referred to the Grade Advisor and will be subject to 7:15 am
detention(s) and/or loss of Open Campus privileges.
Ridgewood Girls Soar to Fourteenth
The Ridgewood Girls’ Lacrosse Team had a big game
this past weekend, finally beating Moorestown by a
single point in over-time. This victory brings the
team’s record to 11-0. The win propels the RHS girls
team into the top twenty-five in national rankings.
Moorestown High School was previously ranked sixth
in the nation, but with the loss to Ridgewood High
School has moved down to eighth. Meanwhile, the
victory has moved the Maroon girls to fourteenth
place among the national rankings, according to Lax
Magazine.
Congratulations to all the players and their coaches.
Ridgewood High School Girls’ Lacrosse Team celebrates their win
over the sixth ranked Moorestown High School to continue their
undefeated winning streak for the season.

Ridgewood students pose with the medals they won during the most
recent Crew event on April 25. The girls varsity 4X won bronze, with
the boys varsity 2X taking home silver. The girls freshmen 4X, girls jun-
ior varsity 2X and 4X, and the girls varsity 2X took home gold.
Stefanie Gigante’s Latin students enjoy some class
time outside in the warm April weather.
Mark Syvret and Karen Walters lead a demonstra-
tion of cat dissection for their freshmen biology and
senior anatomy and physiology classes.
