Be Strong& Courageous
“The Lord GOD is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility].”

action,• To return to the opposite
physical condition.Origin: Re “back” + agere “act”
Choice:• Act of choosing,• Power to choose,• An abundance from which
to choose.Origin: “chois” – to perceive and relish
Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. (Jos 1:6)
Chazaq ve’ematz• Fasten• Harden
Fasten:
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, (Heb 6:19)

Courage comes from being fastened to Hope.
Harden:
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5)
Harden:
• Soild and firm• Unyielding to pressure• Inpenetrable
Fasten:
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, (Heb 6:19)
Courage comes from being fastened to Hope.
Courage comes from being tested, tried and refined so we are unyielding to pressure.
Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Dan 11:32)
Keys to Courage:
• People• Know their God• Shall be strong• Carry out great exploits
“On a still higher level, prayer becomes avodah “service”. The Torah commands us to “serve G-d with our hearts.”
Be Strong and Courageous
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. (1 Cor. 16:13)
