Looking at existing Country music magazine for ideas:-Of names-Of articles-How it’s layer out

The masthead is very straight to the point, it’s place behind the main image.

The main image is taken at mid shot, it’s a very common camera shot. My main image would be either a mid shot or a long shot.

On the music magazine cover, there’s always an musical instrument. I’ll follow this method as it would reinforce the ideology.

Using the Rule of Third, or a traditional template makes it easier to arrange and lay out of the copy and images.

Not a lot of copy, which I think doesn’t give enough information to the buyers.

The main image actually goes off the page. Something different, and eye catching. And the colour contrast of the brown background and than a brightness of white.

Names, I looked at these existing country music magazine, and I want something straight forward and with the word ‘Country’ in the masthead. So readers knows what type of genre of music they’re reading.

Looking at the cover lines, most of these have reviews with country artists. And for Elvis talks about his famous hits. Interviews, pull quote of do they write their own lyrics. All the music magazine I‘ve seen they either have interviews in it or reviews, so in my music magazine I would like to have an interview.

All of these magazine follow the Rule of Third, their title are at the top row, and the cover lines on the left hand side. The main image in some covers are place in front of the title or at the back. And they’re taken at mid-shot, some holding their instrument. Therefore in my magazine, my artist or band would be holding their musical instrument. And on these covers, the most common main image on the cover is photographs of a artist and not a band.

And the colour schemes of these magazine have in common is that they use the colour black is in every single one of the magazines.

These photographs of artist on stage performing, looking like they’re having the time of their life. All of them are holding their guitar and singing a song.

These artist are all country musicians, as you can see from these photographs, the genre of music doesn’t have much female artist.

They all have their own style, one of them wears a cowboy hat,, maybe just to set a scene. Others, sits on a chair and play their songs, you could say even looking at these images there quite a calm atmosphere.

Just some ideas of what a country music CD look like.
