Travel2Care Travel2Care is a scheme that is funded by National Cancer Control Programme and isadministered by Irish Cancer Society. The Travel2Care scheme is specifically aimed at patients who have beendisadvantaged by the transfer of cancer services from their local hospital and whohave a genuine financial difficulty in meeting the costs of travelling to designatedcancer care centres. Travel2Care will cover some of the costs incurred for travelling to a designated cancercare centre for assessment & investigations, surgery, chemotherapy and/orradiotherapy appointments. Must be travelling a minimum of 30 kilometres. There are no automatic entitlement to funds we assess each application on a case bycase basis.
