Wednesday Community Meal The meal for Wednesday, December 19 will be chicken penne rosa (red sauce), salad, bread, and dessert. The CROWD and VOLUNTEERS are scheduled on 12/19. Call the office or email Jane V. if you are available. There will be a 2 week break from meals and then they will resume on January 9 th . All are welcome to this free-will offering meal! Christmas is Coming! Looking for a few great gift ideas? How about a mug and a canister of cocoa mix, a bag of coffee, or box of tea. Put together a gift basket with olive oil and your favorite pasta and sauce. Maybe a chocolate lovers gift bag with cocoa and a variety of chocolate bars. Lighting of the Christmas Trees - Tuesday, December 18th - 2:00pmThis is a special service for many in our congregation who prefer a service during the day and for those who may not be in town Christmas Eve. Everyone is invited! If you know of someone who does not have transportation to church, please call them and offer to bring them to this service. Or they can contact the church office (952-881-8600), and a ride will be arranged. This service will include reading the Christmas gospel in several languages and Holy Communion. Following the service, we will gather in the social hall to sing Christmas carols and enjoy cookies and coffee. We invite you to bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share with others. This is the J.O.Y. Event for December. A sign-up sheet can be found in the library. Coffee & beverages will be provided.

The Longest Night Worship - Saturday — Dec. 22 @5pmThis worship service recognizes that the experience of Christmas, for a variety of reasons, is not always joyful. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one, living with a painful memory, just not “into” the season, or simply interested in a more reflective, subtle communion service.

The Gift of Love - Kennedy Community AllianceWe appreciate Christ the King for being our partner supporting Kennedy High School students/family who are ecumenically vulnerable.  Some statistics….· At Kennedy High School 51% of our students receive Free or Reduced Lunch. Our feeder school,

Valley View Middle has 78% of their students on Free or Reduced Lunch.· We have an average of 28 students receiving a food bag on Fridays through our partnership

with VEAP.· In the 2017/2018 school year over 300 students received scholarships to participate in clubs,

sports and activities including field trips.· An average of 80 students visit the Pantry a month.They also accept gift cards to Target, Walmart, Cub and Holliday. 100% of your donation will go directly into the hand of need at Kennedy High School.
