    Dean ofStudents Student Concerns

    Team (DSSCT)

    y A multi-disciplinary group of professionals whose purpose

    is meeting regularly to review reports of student behaviorperceived to be concerning, disruptive, and/or threatening.

    Procedures:

    y DSSCT receives reports of disruptive or concerningbehaviors of students, reviews for common themes, andrecommends appropriate intervention action to theAssociate Vice President for Student Affairs.

    Signs of Distress: DSSCT Referraly Disorderly or substantially

    disruptive behavior

    y Verbally aggressive behavior expressing uncontrollable anger

    or hostilityy Unusual, bizarre, or disturbing

    behavior

    y Threat of violence or physicalharm

    y Destructive behavior causingdamage to property

    y Act/s of violence striking,pushing, or assaulting anotherperson

    y Possession of a weapon

    y Stalking behavior pursuinganother person

    Outcomes of Referral to DSSCTOutcomes:

    y Provide centralized system for reporting and maintaining records of concerningbehaviors of students

    y Review submitted reports and gather additional information as necessary

    y Referral to on and off-campus resources to positively address concerns

    y Utilize expertise of team of professionals to recommend appropriate intervention toAVPSA

    y AVPSA will work with other administrators and make decisions on how to proceedwith students

    y Students may be referred to on-campus resources including Dean of Students,

    Office of Disability Services, Counseling Centery If Code of Conduct has been violated, student will participate in conduct process

    through Office of Student Conduct

    y Student may be temporarily removed from campus
