We have a long, rich history that is only overshadowed by our flourishing, bright fu- ture. Our nation and the world finds itself caught in some of the most try- ing times in generations, and while many would be content to give up, our friends and neighbors alike, have dug in, and we are working, everyday, for more prosperous times. With this in mind, I have recently been asked by many constituents to seek re-election and con- tinue to represent Fayetteville’s District 2 on City Council. A re- quest, I am both humbled and overjoyed to accept. In my own neighbor- hood, Fayetteville’s Dis- trict 2, we are beginning to see the benefits of the HOPE VI Project, are proud to call District 2 home to Fayetteville’s Community Garden, en- joying the continued growth and re-vitalization of our beau- tiful downtown, and are work- ing to ensure the safety of ev- eryone, on both sides of the river. In my four years as City Councilwoman, we’ve grown. We’ve become more of a fam- ily. I have made it a point that I, or my designee, be at every single Community Watch meeting. I’ve walked most ev- ery neighborhood, stood on an untold number of front porches, door steps, and stoops and talked with count- less concerned friends, wor- ried moms and dads, and many, many caring neighbors about issues ranging from crime to planning commu- nity clean-up efforts, and have even been grateful to be invited on in to dinner with many of you. I’ve reported District 2’s concerns to the appropriate persons and I’ve followed up to make sure nearly all issues are re- solved with satisfactory responses. And, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. We’ve focused on public safety, taking measures to increase police surveillance and coverage in our neighborhoods. We’ve worked to make our neighbor- hoods better places to live in by enhancing our beauti- fication and gateway programs. And, we continue to create an environment where young professionals are returning to Fayetteville to begin their careers and start new families. Even prompting national organizations to rate our town increasingly higher on many surveys and reports. But, where we’ve done much work, there remains, still, a great deal more to be done. It is imperative that the citizens of District 2 continue to have a voice of experience and demonstrated leadership on their side. My continued pledge to you is that I will work to en- sure that all of our communities’ concerns are ad- dressed, and that with time, hard work, and your hand in mine, I pledge that our goals will be met. Again, as I did in 2011 & 2009, I ask for your con- tinued support, and your vote to represent District 2 in Fayetteville’s City Council. I will continue to serve as a liaison between all stake-holders and work diligently with other council members, the mayor, and the entire city staff toward reaching our common goal of making Fayetteville an even greater place to “live, thrive, and prosper.” Councilwoman Kady-Ann Davy (910) 482-3939 (910) 482-3939 (910) 482-3939 (910) 482-3939 (910) 482-3939 215 Gillespie Street * Fayetteville, NC 28302 Tawanna Robinson Thomas Julius Robinson We Will Come To You!
