Council on Competitiveness HPC Initiative

Project Components• Industry “grand challenge” case studies

Identify: Industry-specific challenges that could make a significant contribution to company/industry/national productivity and competitiveness if more computational capability could be made available to solve them.

Address:• Barriers to accessing/applying HPC tools • Potential ROI to company/industry/country if

challenges can be solved.

Council on Competitiveness HPC Initiative

• Industry sector workshopsUse grand challenge reports/survey results as

framework to identify sector-specific needs and trends related to the application of HPC.

• Economic assessment scoping paper Identify risk-reward analysis the private sector

employs when considering an investment in HPC
