• We are prepared for potential “life after Brexit”, but need to balance income source against exchange rates
• We need to undertake a review of the grant system with feedback from grantees and input from member societies – what can we do better?
• Services to member societies and the European microbiology community will be greatly improved with a “state-of-the-art” IT system
• Financial resources are being made available to improve the FEMS portfolio of journals
