COSTI IONITA (Born January 14th 1978 in the city of Constanta,

Romania) is a top Romanian music producer, singer and owner of the no.1 independent music label in Romania, Doctor Music . His he fisrt romanian producer with a Grammy nomination, for Shaggy’s album, “Summer in Kingston”, which was declared no.1 album in sales on iTunes on July 2011, was nominated to the Grammy Awards 2012 at “Best reggae album” section. Costi began 2013 with a work-trip to Thailand, as he was invited

to appear in Shahzoda’s video, a very known & beautiful Uzbek singer, for whom he produced a brand new song, called Moi Zolotoi (big hit in Russia & Uzbekistan).

Costi’s latest hit is called “Dirty Bitch” and represents a lecture

about how a certain type of girls shouldn’t be & act in everyday life. The video was shot in Ukraine and it was directed by the best video director in the Eastern Europe.

At the end of January 2013, Costi was invited to appear in

Maria’s video for the song “Men izbra”, that became very fast a hit in the Balkans. For Mari, Costi is producing many top songs songs for many years.

After that, came the video for the song “Losh Geroy” , a

featuring with Andrea, the most beautiful Bulgarian singer from the Balkans.

But another song was about to hit the music market! The

The latest of Costi’s international collaboration is the one with

the famous Latin singer Kat deLuna, with whom he recorded the song “Always on my mind” in Los Angeles. The video was shot in Romania and was already released with huge success worldwide.

In May 2012, all the attention of the Romanian media was

focused on Costi again, as the song that he produced for the Romanian

The song, called “Zaleilah” , had a huge impact on the

Romanian audience, as well as on the international music market. The song was requested for licensing in 2 different countries each day, since the winning day, when at the end of the contest, Romania was placed on the 12th place.

Costi announced at the end of April 2012, the beginning of the

collaboration with the famous artist Mohombi, with whom Costi recorded a featuring with the beautiful romanian singer Celia, an artist at the music label Doctor Music. The song is called “Love 2 Party” and it was released worldwide. The song promotes the Romanian seaside as a touristic attraction for the foreign people.

At the beginning of January 2012, Costi was present at “Tonight

Show with Jay Leno”, the most popular TV show in the USA. There, Shaggy performed live alongside Kat DeLuna the song “Dame”, composed by the Costi . The live performance made in a few hours the tour of the world.

In November 2011, Costi Ionita produced a new hit for the

bulgarian singer Cvetelina Yaneva featuring the arab singer Rida Al Abdullh, entering this way the arabic music industry for the second time. The song was called “Broi me” and it was a big hit in Bulgaria.

But Costi’s success didn’t stop there. He also produced “Is it

love”, a featuring between Celia and Kaye Styles (the producer of the soundtrack for the TV series Prison Break). The video of the song was considered at that time the most expensive video from the Eastern Europe.

SAHARA PROJECT

In 2009, Costi founded the international project Sahara, in

which he teamed up with Andrea Teodorova, the most famous singer in Bulgaria. They were at that time the most successful duo in the Eastern Europe.

Their first single “Tyalee” (Sahara ft Buppy Brown ) was

followed by “Bellezza” ( Sahara ft Geo daSilva), “I wanna” (Sahara & Bob Sinclar ft Shaggy), “Bounce” (Sahara), “Mine” (Sahara ft Mario Winans), “Champagne” (Sahara ft Shaggy) and “I wonder why” (Sahara), songs licensed all over the world.

COSTI’S life STORY:

In his life, family has a paramount importance, his mother Ms.

Eugenia Ionita is one of the few people who believed in Costi’s dreams and talent.He learned from his mother the art of “music bussiness”, and from his father to have a sportive nature. He practiced: judo, tennis, basket and martial arts.

At the age of 11, he entered the folk music band from Constanta,

led by Mr. Ion Radulescu. One year later, they went on tour in France. This was an experience which helped Costi to build up his personality, he learned to be optimistic and open-minded.

He followed the Music School in Constanta: percussion and piano,

and the Popular School of Arts : accordion and canto. In his adolescence, he entered the Informatical Grammar School Ovidius, where he founded his own rock band called Agartha. Being a fan of Elvis Presley, Phoenix, Deep Purple, he lived very intensive this rock atmosphere.

He studied at the University of Medicine, Constanta city ( dentistry

section). At the same time, he rediscovered his old colleague Dorin Topala and founded the band “Valahia”, together with Laura Mihaila ( soprano at the Philharmonic Hall Constanta ).

In 1998, at the rehearsal for Mamaia Fetival, he discovered Mihai

Traistariu, a competitor at the section of interpretation. From that moment, the band Valahia had 4 members: Costi, Mihai, Dorin and

Laura, but short time after, Laura decided to leave the band. Valahia continued with 3 members and the top hits “Banii si fetele” and “La mare, la soare”. “La mare, la soare” became in 1999 the most popular song of the year, having the first video on shown on Atomic TV.

Costi met the success at the early age of 21. At the same time, he

discovered many other talents. He founded the girl band Exotic ( later Blondy and Sexxy).

Short time after, Costi produced his first “manea” song, “Femeia te

iubeste”, a song with oriental influences. Costi founded the boy band LA, a band with huge success. He also founded the bands Kosovo and Elegance, bands who sustained the “manele” music style.

Because of the misunderstanding between the members of Valahia

band , Costi left the band and started a solo career.

In 2007, he released the beautiful artist Celia, with the no. 1 hit

“Trag aer in piept”, followed by “Soapte”, a song with twice as much success than the first hit. Celia is still working on her career guided by Costi, her exclusive manager.

In 2008 , he released a brand new musical project: the Blaxy Girls

– the first rock girl band from East-Europe ( Rucsy – lead vocal & guitar, Amalia – solo guitar, Cristina – bass, Ana – Keyboard & Dj, Gela – Drums ).

In 2009, Costi discovered Dya, a 14-years old teenager with great

international perspectives.

Over time, Costi had many collaborations as singer and also as
