Question :

Ron J . Steele, a Washington State journalist, who has been doing considerabl eresearch on what is happening in the computer world these days, has just published abook called "The Mark is Ready .. Are You?" He has discovered that the National CrimeInformation Center, which links all states in a criminal identification data system ,operating with computers, is tied in with NASA which has what is called "The Huma nTransponder Surveillance Command System", a suggested means of keeping track, b ysatellite of "mentally unstable people, parolees, and other kinds of misfits . "

Steele maintains, like the elk and polar bears already being tracked, these un-fortunates would be tracked by a Nimbus 6 spacecraft or satellite device, never t oroar, free, He said that an article he wrote on this for the Walla Walla, Washingto nCommunity College student newspaper called Fourth Estate, earned him a visit by aspecial agent of the U .S . Secret Service, and he claims others are watching hi mclosely .

Steele has worked with Dr . R .K . Farrell of Washington State University, a resear-cher in laser and freeze-marking of animals, who predicts there will be time whe nidentification of individuals by computer could take only seven seconds anywhere'inthe United States or Canada .
