The global Cosmetic market was 460 billion USD in 2014 and is estimated to reach 675 billion USD by 2020 growing at a rate of 6.4%. Of the cosmetic products, Skin care has the highest market share while Oral Cosmetics would be the fasted growing market during the forecasted period. APAC leads the cosmetic industry with a market share of 35% in 2014, followed by Western Europe and North America. The high market share of Asia Pacic region is attributed to the fact that customers are relatively beauty conscious. Moreover, with the expected growth rate being highest among all regions, APAC is the region of focus for the cosmetics providers. China continues to grow and local companies are taking a higher position on the market. Korea and Japan continue to lead the beauty trends globally. Other markets like Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines or Vietnam have a healthy growth.
Consumer behavior changes, e-commerce and social media are now prominent inuencers. Government policies are changing at a faster pace than anywhere in the World bringing new challenges to the business. To eectively formulate business strategies to win in Asia, businesses must be aware of where government policies are heading, what consumers want, how and where they want it. CTFAS, building on the needs identied by companies, is organizing its Executive Forum 2017 on November 8, 2017 in Singapore. The objective of the Forum is to bring timely insights on these topics to help companies be prepared for the future. A great opportunity for networking within Asia and outside Asia, between cosmetic companies, suppliers and distributors, as well as with policy makers. We look forward to welcoming you
at the Forum!
