►STEP 2 DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

1. To be eligible for a CITY Award, the company must be in the beauty industry. Membership in ICMAD is not a requirement.2. The entry must be of a new product or product line that has been launched and shipped between March 2, 2015, and February 29, 2016. Advertising programs also must have been initiated between these dates.

ENTRY RULES:• Only materials submitted according to the specified criteria will be judged.• All entries must be shipped prepaid, and provide ICMAD with tracking information.• Payment: Fee must be paid by check, credit card or money order payable to: Independent Cosmetic• Manufacturers and Distributors; drawn on a U.S. bank in U.S. dollars. To qualify for judging, all entries

must include complete fees.• Eight (8) full-size products, which cannot be returned are required. • Marketing materials, high-resolution digital product photos (both product and brand logo), and a 50-

word description of the product must accompany all entries.• ICMAD has full rights to use the submitted materials/photos for CITY Award related promotional • efforts.• Deadline for all entries is May 22.

►STEP 3 SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES

Completed Entry Includes A Full Set of These Five Items:1. Completed official entry form- (online or print version available).2. ENTRY FEE: $200 per entry for ICMAD members/$400 per entry for non-ICMAD members.

(A $100 late fee will be assessed for each entry recieved after May 22, 2016).3. For Product Innovation and Package Design Categories:*

Provide Eight (8) full-size products or an assortment from your product line (If you are submitting the same product in Product Innovation & Package Innovation only 8 products total are needed. Duplicates are not necessary.)For Marketing/Advertising Categories:*Submit eight (8) foamcore boards that represent your campaigns & a digital version of the board plus additional online materials can be submitted if applicable (CD orUSB flash drive acceptable).

4. Digital photos, brand logo, and 50-word description provided on CD or USB flash drive.5. Relevant support materials- brochures, sell sheets, etc (8 sets).

* Finalists will be contacted to ship one additonal product/marketing board to be on display at Cosmoprof North America.

►CITY Awards 2016 TIMELINE:

• March 14- May 22 Enrollment Period• May 22- 30 Late Enrollment Period• June 16 Judges Meeting & Finalists Selection• June 22 PR Release with final nominee announcement: 3 finalists per category• July 25 CITY Award Ceremony (Mandalay Convention Center, Las Vegas)

JUDGESWinners will be selected by five (5) industry influentials comprising a mix of retailers, distributors,online beauty editors, consumer magazine editors and PR agencies. Judges will evaluate each entry and select three (3) finalists for each category.

JUDGING CRITERIA:Judges will base their selections on the following:• Does the product or advertisement demonstrate originality?• Does it influence or advance the category?• Does it answer an unmet consumer or retailer need?• Does it provide sales opportunity, as well as creativity?• Does it provide unique opportunities across the cosmetic business supply chain?

Cosmetic Innovator Of The Year Awards 2016 winners will enjoy exposure with consumer and trade media, and visibility among industry peers. Publicity includes:• Feature in the ICMAD Digest (September 2016 issue) and website• Winners Display at ICMAD Booth at Trade Shows• Meet & greet with top online beauty editors • All Finalists’ entries will be on display in Las Vegas at Cosmoprof North America Tradeshow
