“Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with

Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are

overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they

would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly

enforce the penalty.”

ABSTRACT

Mah{abbah is sublime love, pure, and unconditionally to God. It is the

highest purpose from stations (maqa>ma>t) that will be reached by sa>lik. After

achieving this stage, there is no stage else except only as an effect of love, such

as: longing, intimate, and other similar traits. Love to God will give any virtues

for the lover. Allah will love as they love Him. Even Allah said in the Hadi>s|

Qudsi that He will be their ears, eyes, hands, and strong pillar for the lover.

Love to God is only done by them who have faith. It is like mentioned in

the holy Quran Surat al-Baqarah [2] verse 165. From this verse can be understood

that the purity love to God is sign of one’s faith. Self efficacy is included in it

because the main point of self efficacy is about belief. Self efficacy is beliefs in

one’s capability to mobilize motivation, cognitive resources, course of action

needed to meet given situation demands.

Starting from theory above and restlessness of FUPK student period 2009

of IAIN Walisongo in getting job this research has one hypothesis: is there

positive correlation between mah{abbah and self efficacy? And also it has

purpose to know the correlation between mah{abbah and self efficacy of FUPK

student period 2009 of IAIN Walisongo Semarang. Design that used in this

research is quantitative approach. Subject of this research is FUPK student period

2009. The data will be analyzed by correlation Product Moment Analysis.

From the result of research as an empirical data, it can be concluded that

there is positive correlation between mah{abbah and self efficacy. Hypothesis of

this research is rightly answered. The result of product moment analysis between

mah{abbah and self efficacy is said that the coefficient of r is 0,719. With

significant value is 0,000 below 0,001. It means correlation between mah{abbah

and self efficacy is very significant. Its correlation is positive correlation. It means

the higher the level of mah{abbah will make the higher the level of self efficacy.
