THEDOUBLELIFE250 SERIES MODEL PUMP impeller are designed to increase service lifewill outlast and is more powerful and easier to many times over that of conventional pumps.maintainthan other conventional pumps on themarkettoday. Greatercapacity and higher headscan be achieved with the same piping and basemountings as other conventional pumps. Theextendedlife and performance of this pump hasprovento show greater savings for the toughestjobs. The sizings offered are 3x2x13 through8x6x14.

FEATURES:

THE250SERIESCONCENTRIC PUMP HOUS-INGS are heavier and stronger to outlast con-ventional pumps. The housings are thicker forextra strength and extended service life. Theconcentric design allows the distance betweenthe impeller and the housing to be the same atall points. The pump provides streamlined flow,.,even at shutoff. The concentric housing elimi-natesturbulenceand cavitation within the pump.It also reduces the radial load of the bearings.The required suction pressure is lower due tothefull pipe diameter of the pump entrance. Thehousinggasket is recessedto protect it from fluidleavingthe impeller.

THE 250 SERIES OPEN-VANED IMPELLEReliminatesrecirculation which occurs in closedimpellers. This impeller is designed to reduceturbulence, lower radial and thrust loads, andprovides a smooth flow of fluid through thepump. Housing wear is reduced by eliminatingthe high scrubbing action that occurs on con-ventionalpumps. The 250 series impeller is de-signedto allow fluid leavingthe impeller to blendwith recirculating fluid to reduce abrasive wearof the casing. The open-vaned impeller has not

J exposed impeller nuts or shaft threads. The im-peller is screwed on and the threads are pro-tected by an o-ring. The 250 series pump and

THE 250 SERIES SHAFT has a greater diam-eter shaftto provide heavy-dutyperformance withminimal shaft deflection. This design extendsthe packing life. The replacement shaft sleeveallows the wear under the packing to be renewedwithout replacing the entire shaft. The shaftsleeve and mechanical seal can be replacedwithout removing the shaft from the pump.

THE 250 SERIES BEARINGS are designed foreasy maintenance. The outboard bearings arecomprised of two angular contact bearings withhigh thrust load ratings and zero end play. Theinboard bearing is a heavy-duty, double row ballbearing with a high radial load capacity to com-pensate for the larger impeller sizes and heavy-duty applications. DL only uses the best bear-ings available.

bine the functions of wear plate and stuffing boxinto a one-piece replacement unit. One boltholds the slip fitted stuffing box in place. The250 series stuffing box is available for pacing ormechanical seal operation. The slip fit designallows easy access to the shaft sleeve.

THE DOUBLELIFE250 MECHANICAL SEALThis top quality seal is manufactured from thefinest materials available today. This seal deliv-ers superior performance due to superior design.Our seal distributes drive torque over 10 drivetabs, which are 25-50% thicker than others onthe market,therefore reducing stresson the outerretainer. All metal parts are manufactured of 316stainless steel. Elastomers are manufacturedfrom viton. Seal faces are of tungsten carbide,both rotating and stationary.

THE DOUBLE LIFE 250 "DL-DELUX" FLUID

END. Double Life is now,offering "DL.:'extendedlife fluid ends which include the stuffing box, im-peller, and housing assembly. These parts arepouredfrom the highest grade of ductile iron, thenfinished to exacting specifications. After machin-ing and inspection, these parts are processedthrough a quench and temper heat treating facil-ity to fully harden the parts throughout. Duringthis process the parts are hardened to 40-44ROCKWELL-Cscale, this gives the "DL.:'parts thehardness to withstand the harshest of pumpingconditions. Look to Double Life for extendedpump life.
