• 1950s-1970s ,the starting period of Chinese motorcycle industry
• 1980s, establishment of the base of modern motorcycle industry
• 1990s, taking Lifan Group as the representative, with the private-owned enterprises
entered motorcycle industry, China became the No.1 motorcycle export country in the
world.

INTRODUCTION OF LIFAN
Lifan Industry (group) Co.,Ltd., In 1992, 9 persons including YinMingshan invested RMB200,000 to start the business. Through 17 years of hardworking, Lifan has grown rapidly into a large private corporation mainly engagedin Scientific research & development, engine & motorcycle manufacturing,marketing (including export) and integrated with automobile manufacturing,investment, finance etc.. By now, Lifan has a number of staffs of more than13200, Among them more than 5300 employees are middle-educated or high-educated;Lifan was continuously listed in China Top 500 enterprises for 7 times. It ranksat the first place of Chongqing Top 50 Private Companies and has been being No.1of Chongqing exportation for successive years. In 2008, Lifan was listed in“TopEnterprises in China”of Forbes for 2008, ranking the 88th. This is the firsttime for Chongqing enterprises being listed.
In 2008, Lifan Holding Group won a sales income statistics ofRMB12.59 billion, including a production and sells of 3.36 million sets ofengines and USD 568.85 million for exportation. It has possessed 4448 patents.All indexes showed Lifan kept as the leading position in motorcycle industry ofChina. It has produced and sold 1,777,000 units of motorcycles, ranking No.3 inmotorcycle industry of China.Besides,Lifan has produced and sold 116,400 unitsof vehicles as well as 368,800 units of general engines, Lifan became thebiggest taxation contributor in private companies in Chongqing.

In November 2004, Two registered trade marks „力帆’and „LIFAN‟ were awarded by State Administration For
Industry & commerce as famous trade marks.
In March 2004, National Development and Reform commission,
Ministry of Commerce, State Administration For industry &
Commerce and General Administration of Quality Supervision,
Inspection and Quarantine issued that Lifan became the first an
unique private-owned enterprise owning one of the China top 100
technique centers in motocycle industry.
In December 2007, Lifan, Honlei, Qipai single cylinder
gasoline engine obtained the national qualification of
products exempt from inspection.
In Sep 2007, Lifan motorcycle was awarded „National
Famous Brand‟ for the second time by State General
Administration of the People‟s Republic of China for Quality
Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine.
On January 8th, 2008, Lifan Group,
together with other associates, won the
second-class of China National Science
Progress Award by right of their cooperant
project item.
• On January 8th, 2008, LIFAN won the second prize of National Science and
Technology Progress Award at the annual National Science and Technology
Award Conference for 2007.
• On April 23rd, 2008, the second session of Talents Screening in LIFAN Group
came to an end successfully with 16 standing out from more than 500
candidates.
• On 14th April 2008, LIFAN was listed in “Top30 for Automotive Industry in
2007”, ranking the 14th.
• On 12th May 2008, the strong Wenchuan Earthquake occurred. LIFAN donated
more than 4.3 million RMB totally to the disaster area, which received good
comments from all circles of society.
• On 13th June 2008, LIFAN got associated with AIG, which marks the success
of joint-stock mechanism transformation for LIFAN.

• In August 2008, LIFAN was listed in “Top Enterprises in China” of Forbes for 2008, ranking the
88th. This is the first time for ChongQing enterprises being listed.
• On 30th August 2008, with release of the “Top 500 Enterprises in China for 2008”, LIFAN was
among them for the 7th time.
• On 19th September 2008, LIFAN 620 was launched into market in Chengdu, Sichuan province,
marking the first step for LIFAN motor moving up to mid & high end. On 18tth October, LIFAN
620 was officially introduced into Beijing market.
• On 21st December 2008, Prime Minister Jiabao Wen inspected LIFAN. He urged LIFAN to strive
upward against all the difficulties, adverse circumstances, and by innovations.
• On 29th December 2008, the 100th Glory (Guangcai) School, which was donated by LIFAN, was
successfully built up in Caigongtang, Tibet.
On 16th,December, 2008, Chongqing Lifan Group was awarded the post-doctoral scientific
research workstation by Chongqing Municipal Personnel Bureau.

In 2008, Lifan will intensify investments, and devise more positive
and more extensive global strategy. And also Lifan will quicken
the pace of overseas expansion.
After building the factories of motorcycle or car in Russia,
Vietnam, Iran, Ethiopia, Turkey and Egypt, etc., Lifan will build
more factories in Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe and
Southeast Asia.
In three years, Lifan hope that the sales in overseas markets
could be a third of total sales of Lifan.

More than 91 thousand automobiles, especially Lifan cars are sold in domestic and overseas market
Reciprocate Society
In 1993, the first Lifan Guangcai School was established in Chongqing. Since then,
Lifan Guangcai School has been setting up one after another nationwide. After
fourteen years‟ effort, Lifan has built up 100 Lifan Guangcai School around China,
which honored the commitment of Chairman Mr.Yin Mingshan that Lifan would
support the education of depressed area and would build up 100 Lifan Guangcai
School in China.
According to statistics, 100 LIFAN Guangcai Schools offer the education
opportunities to nearly 50,000 children. Till 2008, LIFAN donated a total of 6,976,000
yuan to the community. During the Wenchuan terrible earthequake, LIFAN people
donated more than 4,300,000 yuan. In November, 2005, Mr. Yin Mingshan won the
“ China Chraty Award ” by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and China Chraty Federation,
and he is the only one entrepreneur in Chongqing to win this title.

Up to December 2008,Lifan Group has donated 100 Lifan hope schools all over the country.
After 5.12 massive earthquake in Sichuan province,
Lifan Group was deeply concerned about the people in
disaster area, promote the spirit of “When disaster
struck, help came from all sides”, actively try our best
to do something for disaster relief. Lifan Group had
totally donated 4.3 million RMB .
