Socialist Law

Socialist law denotes a general type of legal system which has been used in communist and formerly communist states. It is based on the civil law system, with major modifications and additions from Marxist Leninist ideology.

Common Law

Common law (also known as case law or precedent) is a law developed by judges through decisions of courts and similar tribunals, as opposed to statutes adopted through the legislative process or regulations issued by the executive branch.

Civil Law

Civil law (or civilian law) is a legal system originating in Europe, intellectualized within the framework of late Roman law, and whose most prevalent feature is that its core principles are codified into a referable system which serves as the primary source of law.

Sharia Law (Islamic Law)

Sharia means "the road to the watering place" in Arabic, and refers to the revealed guidance and directives given in the Holy Book of Islam, as well as the Sunna. Largely a way of life for Muslims, it rules everyday transactions, including what
