The Alliance recently partnered with Northeast Mississippi Community College, The Skills Foundation and the Appalachian Regional Commission in an effort to strengthen our local workforce. As the demand for Industrial Maintenance employees in the region is high, the three organizations teamed up to proactively meet the demand. The goal of the partnership is to increase the enrollment and number of individuals completing the Industrial Maintenance Workforce Certificate program at NEMCC. The training is a six to eight month program and boasts a 100% job placement rate for successful individuals. The method is recruitment of potential students through a digital campaign. The strategy has shown promise, as the campaign has reached a multitude of interested individuals. Two official enrollment events will be held at NEMCC Corinth on January 16 -detailed information is in the adjacent graphic. The enrollment event is open to anyone who is interested, with no obligation.

Ole Miss Booneville Scholarship for Member Employees

The Alliance and The University of Mississippi - Booneville have teamed up to offer a scholarship for employees of Alliance members. The scholarship, covered entirely by UM-Booneville, amounts to $500 per semester for up to four semesters to students enrolled in six or more credit hours. This benefit could greatly impact our member businesses and workforce as a whole.

"The Alliance is excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our member businesses and their employees,” Clayton Stanley, The Alliance President & CEO said. “Today’s economy requires a highly skilled workforce and, in most fields, continuous learning is required to advance. We are glad to have a bachelor’s degree completion program available so close to home at UM-Booneville, and are proud to be able to make it even more affordable.”
