AMMONITE

These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago,

They became extinct along with the dinosaurs.

The name 'ammonite' originates from the Greek Ram-horned god called Ammon.

This ammonite was found rite in the Saint Louis Area along the Mississippi River

BRACHIOPOD

Brachiopod are marine animals that are rare in today times ,but in Paleozoic Era they dominated the sea floors

There are about 300 living species of brachiopods.

They around 250 million years ago

Brachiopod have two shells not in some cases one shell is bigger than the other

Brachiopods are filtered animals they eat upon microscopic organisms and bits of organic matter.

This was found in the caverns in Saint Louis This fossil contains many kinds of Brachiopod

They are about 324 million years old and were found in Crawford County, Indiana.

Archimedes are screw like creatures Archimedes are a type Bryozoan

Cambrian period They shaped like a rolle polle Belong to a group of orthopoids
