The Amulet Hotkey CoreStation VM630 is a flexible datacenter optimized platform for virtual workstation, virtual desktop and compute acceleration in public or private cloud deployments. The CoreStation VM630 is based on the Dell EMC PowerEdge™ M630 blade server and combines Amulet Hotkey GPU accelerators and NIC cards to deliver superior agility, reliability and performance. Together with Dell EMC OpenManage™ tools, the CoreStation VM630 accelerates time-to-production with enhanced management and automation to realize the scalability and efficiency of virtualized workstation infrastructure. The 2-socket blade platform has the optimum balance of CPU and GPU resources to power the most demanding environments. CoreStation® VM630Virtual Blade Workstation
Hardware GPU accelerationVirtualizing workstations increases productivity and team collaboration whileenhancing security and uptime. Virtual blade workstations provide an additionalbenefit of enhanced data center efficiency, simplified management and a significantlyreduced footprint in terms of space and power compared to similar rackserver platforms. Blade servers provide up to a 3x density advantage forperformance virtual workstations compared to 2U rack servers due to optimalmatching of server CPU and virtual GPU resources.
Graphics-intensive and compute acceleration applications can use the power ofthe GPU in virtualized environments, allowing users to experience software as itwas designed to be experienced. This includes handling the growing demand forgraphics-accelerated VDI of everyday programs like Windows 10, Office 365, YouTubeand others, for a great virtual PC user experience.
The VM630 includes an Amulet Hotkey mezzanine GPU accelerator card (‘mezz card’)with professional graphics using NVIDIA and AMD virtual GPUs. Share the power ofhardware accelerated graphics and compute across multiple users for a highly flexibleand efficient architecture.

In the data centerDeploy the CoreStation VM630 blades in bare-metal or virtualized environmentsand configure the number of virtual workstations according to the user and applicationneeds. Support up to 16 virtual workstations with a 1GB GPU memory profile perVM630 blade. Support performance virtual workstations with additional virtualCPU cores and GPU memory up to 16GB vRAM for a single user. It is easy to setupand re-configure as the organization, user or application requirements change overtime.
Up to 16 VM630 blades can be installed in a Dell EMC PowerEdge M1000e bladeenclosure. The enclosure provides a fully redundant power, cooling and networkinfrastructure. Blade servers such as the PowerEdge M630 and dedicated bladeworkstations such as the CoreStation DXM630 can be installed alongside the VM630virtual blade workstation, allowing a mix of dedicated and virtual machines to bedeployed.

At the deskDesk-side workstations are replaced with a client access device to connect to thevirtual workstation in the secure data center. The VM630 supports a wide rangeof client options to maximize flexibility and mobility including: Amulet Hotkey zeroclients, thin clients, laptops and mobile devices.
Amulet Hotkey DXZ zero clients are completely stateless devices with no operatingsystem or software to be maintained or compromised. Zero clients store no dataand are highly secure. Eliminate desk-initiated threats with authorized/un-authorizedlists that restrict the user’s ability to connect USB devices. DXZ zero clients consumesignificantly less power than a standard computer and most thin clients. They aredesigned to fit on or under a desk and use passive cooling, generate minimal heatand zero noise. Amulet Hotkey DXZ-A clients are the only zero clients certified assecure by the UK government and NATO NIAPC.
Converged architecture for simplicity, scalability and performanceIn addition to local high-performance storage and RAID options, the CoreStation VM630supports virtual storage solutions such as VMware Virtual SAN and Pivot3 to providea hyper-converged blade platform to unlock islands of storage on individual blades.This enables pooled storage for efficiency, performance and reliability. A highly scalablesolution with a common architecture for all users types from office desktops todemanding 3D graphics, video and simulation workstations.
