At CORE Engineering Group we deliver professional services across three main areas:
Risk Engineering
Our aim at CORE is to facilitate our clients’ compliance needs across a range of legislation which require assessment of risk and demonstrate that risks are effectively controlled.
Our overarching objective in all that we do is to minimise risk at effective and sustainable costs by demonstrating risks are managed as far as is reasonably practicable to provide a thorough, functional and customised solution.
Fire Engineering
With an unparalleled depth of experience in Fire and Life Safety, we at CORE apply an understanding of occupant behaviour, fire safety systems, access and egress design, physiological effects of smoke and many other life safety aspects to develop a solution specific to your facility.
We understand the need for a Fire Engineering solution that delivers safety standards beyond repute via the most cost effective and sustainable means possible. We pride ourselves on uncompromising standards of safety, security and client satisfaction.
CORE INTRODUCTION
Emergency Management Planning
We understand that the Emergency Plan is not simply an additional document for legislative compliance but an important part of a holistic fire and life safety strategy, preserving life safety and serving a purpose far greater than merely meeting regulatory obligations.
Our strength at CORE is the understanding of safety principles and individual building designs, enabling the most tailored Emergency Planning available. Venturing outside of prescriptive building design must be matched with an intelligent and bespoke Emergency Plan and we are perfectly positioned to deliver this.
AN EVOLUTION OF RAWFiRE AND RAWRiSK SEES THE EMERGENCE OF CORE ENGINEERING GROUP

Responsibility for managing risk is further embedded at the highest levels of our organisation, with our reputation being dependent on effective management of risk issues.
We have developed a range of policies, processes, tools and initiatives to support our team in making balanced, informed and transparent risk decisions, and help improve the management of social and environmental risks and opportunities.
Policies
We ensure that as at the date of the proposal and throughout the provision of our services that we:
* have an established and approved OH&S Management system developed to comply with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations;
* have an established and approved environmental policy developed to reduce our environmental footprint; and
* can submit a safety plan and safe work method statement, satisfying the requirements and regulations prior to commencement of services. Despite not being mandatory we require our technical staff to undertake an approved White Card Training course. Our staff are instructed to provide their White Card while on site (if requested) and to observe all Occupational Health and Safety requirements of each respective site.
Risk Management and Governance
We firmly believe that one of our principal responsibilities to clients is to manage the risks associated with the design and construction process. Our risk management framework provides a uniform governance structure for the identification and management of risks from the Board to business unit level. To this end, our Board has ultimate responsibility for risk management and our Senior Management team support the Board in managing business risk.
As risks can appear at any stage of a project and evolve as a project moves forward, our risk management processes are in place from the award of mandate through to the completion of the project. The purpose of our management teams involvement is to manage risks until they no longer exist and in cases where a particular risk cannot be eliminated, to minimise the potential negative impact it poses to the project.
Taking into consideration the breadth, complexity and length of a project, we determine whether a formal or informal disciplined process is required to ensure that a project is managed pro-actively rather than reactively.

CORE FUNDAMENTALS
Resources
We understand how important it is to our clients to have competent and present key design consultants to drive the delivery of their objectives. We have established two fully resourced offices in the country’s biggest markets, Sydney and Melbourne, to serve the needs of our clientele. From these locations we mobilise our resources to service both our national and international project commitments.
We will commit an experienced and capable team to all projects. Typically, we operate all projects as a coherent group, controlled through a nominated Project Director and Project Engineer.
The objective of undertaking a structured role to project work is to achieve the following:
