The launch of the Rebellion Beer Company, in 1993, marked the revival of Marlow’s illustrious brewing tradition dating back over 240 years. The town’s position in the chalky Chiltern Hills means that the local water used for brewing is high in the minerals and salts essential for producing high quality and distinctive traditional beer. Serve it slightly cooler than usual for an ale, to enhance its refreshing quality. Red 4.5% A warming, Autumnal red ale, rich & malty, with a balancing bittersweet hop character. SUMMER BEER SPRING BEER Black 5.2% Five speciality malts make up Rebellion Black’s deeply complex grist. Hot wort percolates through a bed of cocoa nibs on Cascade hops infusing our stout with dark chocolate smoothness, in subtle contrast to the coffee-like intensity from the roasted malts. Roasted Nuts Extra 5.8% A deep ruby, complex and flavoursome Winter warmer, packed with intense and distinctive malt & hop character. WINTER BEER 24 Carat 5.0% Hops dominate the character of this beer! We have used New World hops and a blend of traditional, home grown Malted Barley to give this golden beer an intense, tropical aroma and a distinctive bittersweet flavour, typical of a contemporary American Pale Ale. Additions of lemon & orange peel with Lemondrop hops gives a distinctive citrus character. Serve well chilled in a wide glass to enjoy its refreshing & aromatic qualities. Rebellion Lager 4.4%An authentic lager brewed using the finest
specialist German malt and yeast. The key to its delicate clean taste is a cold fermentation and a long, slow maturation which allows the subtle flavours to slowly develop. Continental
hops add a light floral element and gentle bitterness, helping to create an extremely crisp, refreshing and drinkable character.
Available in Bars, Pubs and Clubs locally and in 330 ml bottles in our shop.
IPA 3.7%A copper coloured, easy drinking beer. Well balanced malt and hop flavours continue to a long, refreshing and clean finish.
Smuggler 4.2%An amber coloured, special bitter with a distinctive fruity hop character, and lasting bittersweet finish.
Roasted Nuts 4.6%A deep ruby, complex and flavoursome beer, packed with intense and distinctive malt & hop character.
Zebedee 4.7%A straw coloured, pale ale with a clean, fresh & uncomplicated taste. The hops add a crisp bitterness, making it very drinkable. Citra hops added in the hop back gives Zebedee a tropical fruit aroma.
SPRING BEER
Amber 4.3%A malt forward and full bodied best bitter with biscuit and caramel notes. Rich Amber in colour with a classic British hop character.
