January 2014

Véronique Graff, R&D Manager, GreenWin,

[email protected]

• Started in 2013

• Partners : Awex-invest, essenscia wallonie, GreenWin, ValBiom

• Why ? – Need to adopt a strategic coordinated approach to contribute to the

development of a competive biobased economy in Wallonia in accordance with the European bioeconomy

– To complete an on going study at GreenWin with the aim to launch a working group about biomass

• Specific objectives :

– To develop a strategy that is shared by the stakeholders

– To identify required projects : R&D, training or platform;

– To identify required investments and attract investors;

– To have a currently “refreshed” overview of Wallonia strengths in biobased-economy sectors.
