Control Anger or it will control you.

Three things we can do with our anger:

1. We can express it.

2. We can suppress it.

3. We can confess it.

“Bottled-up anger hurts &

keeps on hurting.

Temper is uncontrolled anger.

It is always wrong.

DEAL WITH THE CAUSE

The ROOT is SELF

1. We must see our need.Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

2. We must accept responsibility for our temper.

3. We must count on our death with Christ.

"Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin (including the sin of temper), but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.“

The root cause of temper is SELF. God crucified me with Christ that I might be delivered from my sinful temper.

Resentment is that deep feeling of displeasure or anger that we have toward someone because of a past offense. It is our painful memory of past hurts.

We feel justified in our resentment.

It makes us feel superior.

We like to “keep score.”

We enjoy our resentments.

1. Bitterness affects our health.

3. Bitterness affects our personality.

Hatred makes you a slave to the person you hate.
