Personal Reflection Exercises...Healing is a process that takes time.

Therefore, I recover at my own speed.

Healing is a process that takes time. Therefore, I recover at my own speed.

I am only human. I realize that myemotional recovery must take its naturalcourse.

If I rush the recovery process, I may payless attention to my experiences andactually end up taking longer to heal. So, Itake each day as it comes and let myemotions roam freely.

If I feel like crying, I allow myself to crywithout telling myself to toughen up. Andif I feel angry, I allow myself to be angry, with the sole restriction of behaving safelywith others and myself.

Though at times the healing process maybe painful, embracing the reality ofwhat I am feeling is the only way Ican truly move past negativity.

Sometimes, the healing process may takeweeks. Other times, it may take months orlonger. The important thing is that eachday gets easier.

Now, I allow my emotional journey toflow naturally. However, the whole ideabehind recovery is to recover. And Ialways keep this in mind.

Rather than reminiscing or feeling sorry formyself, I remind myself of all of thehappiness that awaits me in thefuture; all I have to do is let it in.

Today, I accept what I'm feeling and I takebaby steps to move past it. Tomorrow canbe a better day, and the day after that canbe even better. My small efforts lead theway to emotional recovery.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I put on a tough exterior to maskmy true feelings?

2. How do I deal with emotional pain?3. Do I make an honest effort to pick

up the pieces after feeling heartbreak?

Personal Reflection Exercises...Healthy eating revitalizes my lifestyle.

Healthy eating revitalizes my lifestyle.

Reaching for unhealthy foods isconvenient. Punching a button on thevending machine or pulling into a drivethru is certainly far more appealing thancooking halibut or chopping vegetables, especially when I am hungry and hurried.

On the other hand, preparing healthymeals is time consuming, but it is certainlyworth the effort.

My health is important to me. It takesprecedence over the convenience of5-minute meals. Convenience alwayscomes at a price. In this case, the price I'mpaying is sacrificing nutrition and playingRussian roulette with my health!

Healthy eating revitalizes my life! Mygood health enables me to play with mychildren, keep my physique in goodshape, cut down on medical expenses, and increase my lifespan.

I would be a fool to pass up all of thesebenefits in favor of a quick burger or a barof chocolate! For this reason, I make it apoint to cook healthy meals and makeconscious decisions when it comes tosnacks.

Healthy foods taste better, fresher, andmore wholesome than unhealthy foods.Eating healthily also provides me with asense of empowerment.

Being busy is no longer an excuse. There are millions of individuals thatmanage to check off every task on theirto-do list and still sit down for awholesome meal three times per day.

My body is a temple and I treat it likemy most prized possession!

Today, I change my life one granola bar ata time! I value my well being and consumehealthy meals to fortify my body and soul.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I rely on food as an emotionalescape from reality?

2. How many calories do I consumeeach day?

3. Is my calorie consumption on parwith my caloric needs?

Personal Reflection Exercises...I allow my body to receive enough rest

and exercise.

I allow my body to receive enough restand exercise.

I make sure to take care of my body andmind. When I work, I work hard. But whenit is time to relax, I focus entirely onme, leaving stress behind.

I know rest and exercise is important to myphysical health. Exercise keeps me at ahealthy weight and helps my heart pumpoptimally.

Rest allows my cells to renew themselves andhelps them ward off illnesses. I am able toavoid more extensive time loss from illnessand disease because I give myself enoughrest each night.

I also rest for the sake of my emotional andspiritual strength and stamina. The morerested I am, the more I am able toproactively rise above stress.

I also rest and exercise for my personalcreativity. A tired mind is a muddled mind, and I keep mine rested so it can be clear andopen to whatever insights may cross mypath. Creativity is not something that can beforced; it simply infuses me when I am ableto allow it.

For these reasons, I regularly invest in thehealth and well-being of my body, mind, andspirit.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I invest in my own health andwell-being?2. Do I recognize the extra energy availableto me when I exercise my body and mind?3. Do I allow myself enough rest to be opento the creative impulses that cross my path?
