Pablo is a young boy

who lives in Latin

America. Write some

things that he might do

with his free time.


This is the town of

Esperanza. It is located

high in the mountains.

Most of the people who

live here are farmers.

One family living here

is Pablo and his mother

Martha.


Hi my name is Pablo. What do you do with your free time?


This is Pablo’s mother.

Her name is Esperanza.

She lives alone with Pablo.

She cooks food and sells it

to the miners nearby.


This is Pablo’s pet bird

Cucu. He likes to follow

Pablo everywhere he

goes.


Pablo lives in a simple

adobe home with his

mother and his pet bird

chico. Everyday Pablo

eats porridge with

bananas. He is also

going to attend school

this year. He is very

excited.


What will you be doing tomorrow?
